On 10 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Mr. Kwanchai Paphatphong, chairman of the 42nd Motor Expo, stated the event ran from 28 Nov to 10 Dec 2025, spanning 13 days, making it the best-timed event of the year. This coincided with the first phase of support measures for electric vehicle use (EV 3.0), ending this year.
Additionally, the new excise tax structure for vehicles, effective from 2026, contributed to the event's great success, revitalizing the sluggish automotive industry this year and generating over 70 billion baht in turnover for the Thai economy.
Vehicle bookings at the event included 75,246 cars and 5,263 motorcycles. Among participants in the vehicle purchase and lucky draw activity, electric vehicles accounted for as much as 50%, while combustion engine, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid vehicles made up the remaining 50%.
Interest by vehicle type was divided as follows: SUVs at 58.4%, sedans at 27.8%, multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) at 7.6%, pickup trucks at 4.5%, and others at 1.7%.
