Carfin Advances EV Project Supporting App-based Usage

Carfin is advancing its electric vehicle (EV) project that supports usage via an app, while also joining the cooperative network's general meeting to promote job creation and supplementary income for members.

Mr. Kiattisak Keeratiyakornsakul, CEO of Carfin Inter Group Co., Ltd., revealed the company's participation in a cooperation project with cooperative networks and funeral associations aiming for sustainable development based on the WIN:WIN principle. Carfin presented three collaborative initiatives: first, a new EV car project including types RY.1 and RY.18 designed to support ride-hailing via an application, aiming to reduce energy costs and support job creation and additional income for cooperative members.

Second, a new condominium project with tenants covering eight prime locations in Bangkok, targeting residents and investors, offering an average return of about 7% per year with two years’ rent paid in advance. Third, a premium membership card project for SSO funeral associations offering four years of free membership benefits, providing peace of mind and value with 400% coverage or up to 1.2 million baht, along with a principal refund every three years.

Mr. Kiattisak added that the meeting was well received by savings cooperative leaders nationwide. It served as a platform for cooperative leaders to proactively share visions and goals to improve welfare and economic opportunities for members, enhancing their quality of life. After the meeting, executives from several cooperatives expressed continued interest in joining projects with Carfin.

Digital Upskilling Grab Thailand, the leading ride-hailing platform, partnered with the Thai Taxi Network Trade Association and government-private sector allies to hold the "New Taxi Era" event, encouraging taxi drivers from five major cooperatives — Siam Taxi Cooperative, Mit Tae Taxi Cooperative, Phum Phalang Taxi Cooperative, Sahamit Taxi Cooperative, and Leuang Thong Taxi Cooperative — to shift perspectives.

The event enhanced skills and knowledge to prepare drivers for the digital era through three main activities: transitioning to a better environment by providing opportunities to test and learn about electric vehicles; transitioning to better health by encouraging attention to health and safety during service; and transitioning to better service by strengthening digital skills and introducing ways to earn extra income and access benefits on the Grab platform.
