Ongoing strong promotion: Motor Expo offer!
Ranger Raptor special price starting at 1,699,000 baht (down from 1,804,000 baht).
Fuel card worth 1,000 baht and a chance to win 10-baht gold bar (1 prize) or 1-salung gold (200 prizes), total value 3,500,000 baht.
The style resembles the Raptor V6 but with significantly less power. Some customers prefer a more fuel-efficient engine, getting 8.7-9.5 km per liter instead of 5.5-6.5 km per liter. The 2.0L Bi-Turbo Raptor produces 210 hp and 500 Nm torque. It lacks the strong acceleration of the 3.0L V6, seeming underpowered, but it can comfortably handle long-distance driving without worrying much about fuel costs, unlike the V6 which can cost 30,000-40,000 baht monthly. However, this comes at the expense of a less aggressive driving feel.
At the end of 2024, Ford announced a price cut for the second-generation Ranger Raptor with a 2.0L Bi-turbo diesel engine, lowering the price to 1,699,000 baht, a 100,000 baht discount from the previous 1,804,000 baht. The reduction started on 17 Nov 2024 and continues until the 2025 Motor Expo. The 2.0L turbo diesel engine seems somewhat mismatched to the size and weight of this large pickup truck, offering 210 horsepower. The transmission remains Ford's 10-speed automatic from their Michigan plant. Power is noticeably down from the 381 hp V6 petrol version, but the 500 Nm torque is adequate. Acceleration is less aggressive than the petrol V6. The Fox Live Valve electronic shocks are replaced with Internal Bypass types. The electronic locking differential has been removed, as has the variable exhaust system, so the thrilling exhaust note is exclusive to the 3.0L V6. Suspension control modes such as Normal Off-Road and Sport were also removed. The premium Bang & Olufsen sound system was dropped, resulting in a 250,000 baht price reduction compared to the V6 turbo petrol Raptor.
The diesel model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 10.5 seconds, 2.5 seconds slower than the V6 petrol Raptor. However, its fuel consumption of 9.5 km per liter is far more efficient than the V6. Still, using PTT premium diesel priced at 44 baht per liter doesn’t make it feel particularly economical.
The Raptor's signature suspension features a front double wishbone with coil springs and FOX 2.5" shocks, and a rear coil spring with FOX 2.5" shocks and Watt’s linkage. The vehicle dimensions are 2,028 mm wide, 5,381 mm long, and 1,922 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,270 mm and ground clearance of 272 mm. The cargo bed measures 1,420 mm wide, 1,564 mm long, and 540 mm high. The vehicle weighs 2,300 kilograms or 2.3 tons.
Inside, the Raptor's front seats offer spaciousness. The dashboard console is decorated with orange plastic accents and features attractive honeycomb-shaped air vents. Some interior parts like door panels, seats, and dashboard edges are upholstered with a new material blending leather and Alcantara-like suede. The front seats are electrically adjustable in 10 directions.
The infotainment system includes a 12.3-inch digital TFT instrument cluster and a 12-inch central monitor with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 3D navigation, remote start via the FordPass app, digital radio, and an 8-speaker sound system distributed around the cabin.
The Raptor can tackle all terrains, whether climbing slopes or driving fast on gravel or dirt roads. Its Baja-style design outperforms many pickups and SUVs. The 2.0L diesel engine offers 8.7-9.5 km per liter fuel efficiency. Its suspension suits long-distance travel and rough dirt roads. Its large, aggressive size and practical performance rank it among the top-selling pickups in Thailand.
