
GWM's star model TANK 300 closed 2025 with sales reaching 7,574 units, while the leading female model, GWM ORA Good Cat, sold 7,080 units.
On 6 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Wayne Zhou, Managing Director of GWM (Thailand), stated that in 2025, GWM sold 18,096 vehicles, a 146% growth from 2024, marking the highest sales record in five years since starting business in Thailand. The total sales breakdown is as follows.
These two models' total annual sales set a historic high. Specifically, in December 2025, GWM achieved sales of 3,182 units, the highest monthly sales in five years.
December was also the month when GWM TANK 300 and GWM ORA Good Cat set record monthly sales of 1,155 units and 1,573 units respectively, surging 1,400% and 2,376% from December 2024.
Wayne Zhou added that 2025 was a challenging year for the automotive industry, but GWM (Thailand) remained committed to steady growth. The tangible success in 2025 resulted from four key strategies.
1. Offering products covering all powertrain types, or Multi-powertrain. This is a strength among Chinese automotive brands, creating sales opportunities across various segments covering 85% of Thailand's car market. In 2025, GWM (Thailand) introduced the latest generation 2.4T diesel engine technology and intelligent 4-wheel-drive hybrid systems for Thais to experience.
Six new models launched include three under the GWM Diesel Family—GWM TANK 300 Diesel, GWM TANK 500 Diesel, and GWM POER SAHAR Diesel—plus two compact SUVs, GWM HAVAL H6 PHEV and HEV, and the latest WEY G9 Hi4 Ultra luxury MPV.
These six vehicles are key to GWM's success, offering quality and value that meet Thai users' needs precisely, with superior technology, safety, comfort, and performance at competitive prices, earning positive feedback nationwide.
2. Continuously listening to consumers, or User-Centric approach. This strategy has been a cornerstone since GWM's establishment in Thailand, aiming to meet genuine Thai consumer needs by gathering user feedback and continuously improving products and services. A clear example is introducing the 2.4T diesel engine into the GWM TANK lineup.
Adjustments include tuning suspensions for Thai roads and driving habits, software developments to enhance user experience, and adding functions that increase safety and convenience, resulting in business growth and solid trust from Thai consumers.
3. Serious development of after-sales service. After-sales service is the top concern among Thais regarding Chinese car brands. GWM has built a strong foundation over five years by improving after-sales service comprehensively, covering parts management, technician training, quality assessment, warranties, and maintenance.
They also established full systems and teams to effectively manage customer issues via social media platforms. These efforts have built long-term customer confidence, earning GWM third place among 13 major car brands in Thailand for after-sales satisfaction in 2025 by Differential, and first among Chinese brands.
4. One-Price Policy ensuring uniform prices and offers nationwide. GWM has adhered to a single nationwide pricing policy since starting business and will continue this strictly in 2026, supported by an efficient partner store network management system.
The GWM application serves as the sales and payment center, ensuring customers receive the same prices and promotions regardless of dealer or province, reducing customer concerns about price comparisons and preventing undercutting among dealers.
