CHANGAN Automobile Exports Vehicles to 117 Countries with a Lineup of 41 New Energy Models

CHANGAN celebrates exporting vehicles worldwide to 117 countries with a lineup of 41 new energy models. In 2025, CHANGAN Automobile achieved total vehicle sales of 2.913 million units, an 8.5% increase compared to the previous year. 

On 5 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Zhao Fei, Chairman of CHANGAN Automobile, stated at the Global Partner Conference 2026 under the theme "30 Million United, One Future Together" that over the past five years, CHANGAN has overcome various challenges robustly through close cooperation with global partners, continuing to pursue quality growth.

The performance over the past five years clearly reflects growth. Currently, CHANGAN ranks as the 13th largest global automaker, up from 14th, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.8%. In 2025, CHANGAN Automobile sold a total of 2.913 million vehicles, marking an 8.5% increase from the previous year.


Overseas sales reached 637,000 units, up 18.9% year-on-year. New Energy Vehicle (NEV) sales surpassed 1 million units for the first time, totaling 1.109 million units, a 51% increase from the previous year. This reflects the rapid growth of the new energy vehicle market. Additionally, CHANGAN expanded its market from 63 countries in 2020 to 117 countries worldwide today, increasing its model lineup from 17 to 41 to meet diverse consumer needs.

In 2025, CHANGAN launched six new models across five major regions: the fourth-generation CHANGAN CS75 PLUS, CS55 PLUS, DEEPAL S05, DEEPAL G318, AVATR 11, and AVATR 12. It also entered the European market with the DEEPAL S07 and S05, marking an important step in expanding its global new energy vehicle market.


Safety Technology: SDA Intelligence

CHANGAN continues to prioritize safety as the core of its development by introducing SDA Intelligence technology, covering three main pillars: SDA Pilot, SDA Cockpit, and SDA Chassis. The safety concept in the era of intelligent vehicles extends beyond vehicle structure to driving performance and the physical and mental well-being of users, ensuring quality of life, peace of mind during travel, and protection of personal data.

This commitment to enhancing user experience is reflected in J.D. Power’s 2025 rankings, where CHANGAN placed sixth among Mass Market brands in the Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) and seventh in the Customer Service Index (CSI). These rankings underscore CHANGAN's clear focus on customer-centric product and service development.

Meanwhile, CHANGAN Automobile reaffirms its long-term commitment with annual R&D investment exceeding 5% of revenue, supported by over 10,000 technology personnel and more than 400 industry-leading experts in key fields such as AI, software, electric drive systems, and design. It is simultaneously developing over 160 new technologies, including AI-powered intelligent cabins and next-generation battery technology to drive future intelligent automotive innovations.


Vision for the Future and CHANGAN’s 2026 Goals

CHANGAN targets total sales of 3.3 million units in 2026, including 1.4 million NEVs and 750,000 units sold abroad. Its long-term goal is to achieve cumulative production of 40 million vehicles by 2028, with annual production and sales exceeding 5 million units, aiming to be among the top 10 global automotive brands by 2030. NEVs are expected to account for over 60% of total sales, while international markets will represent more than 35%.

This vision will be driven by three main strategies: the Green Plan (new energy), the Intelligent Plan (smart vehicles), and the Vast Ocean Plan (global market expansion). These strategies will strengthen CHANGAN’s global business operations, elevate technological innovation, and transform it into a leader in new energy vehicle technology through collaboration with worldwide partners.
