STARLUX Airlines, a carrier from Taiwan, has received its first Airbus A350-1000 aircraft out of a total order of 18. This delivery makes STARLUX the 11th airline worldwide to operate the largest model in the A350 family. The new A350-1000 will join the existing fleet of ten A350-900 aircraft to provide premium long-haul flights from Taipei to Europe and North America, as well as selected routes in the Asia-Pacific region.
To celebrate the addition of this newest fleet member, STARLUX has launched a distinctive new aircraft livery that reflects both innovation and the airline’s identity. The design combines STARLUX's brand image with carbon fiber patterns, symbolizing the advanced composite materials central to the aircraft’s structure. Additionally, the prominently displayed “1000” on the fuselage emphasizes the A350-1000’s status as Airbus’s largest current production model and as the airline’s new flagship aircraft.
Currently, STARLUX operates an all-Airbus fleet, including the A321neo, A330-900, and A350-900 models. The new A350-1000 will strengthen and complement the existing fleet perfectly. Furthermore, the airline has ordered 10 A350F freighter aircraft to support the future expansion of its cargo network.
The A350 is the world’s most modern wide-body aircraft and has set a new standard for intercontinental travel. Its entirely new design integrates cutting-edge technology and advanced aerodynamics, delivering outstanding operational efficiency and passenger comfort. New-generation engines combined with lightweight materials reduce fuel consumption, operating costs, and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by up to 25 percent compared to previous generation competitors. The A350 also features the spacious Airspace cabin, offering an airy atmosphere with wide seats, high ceilings, and lighting designed to create a relaxing travel environment.
Like all Airbus models, the A350 can operate on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) blended up to 50 percent. Airbus aims for its aircraft to be capable of flying on 100 percent SAF by 2030.
As of November 2025, the A350 family has received nearly 1,500 cumulative orders from 66 customers worldwide.
