DeepWay Electric Tractor Truck Launched: Full Charge Range 440 km with Maximum Towing Capacity

Prime E Truck has partnered with DeepWay, an advanced electric tractor truck brand, transforming Thailand's logistics sector by launching the new intelligent electric tractor model DeepWay Star 6x4. Fully charged, it can run 440 kilometers and handle maximum full-load towing capacity, using CATL battery technology as the core mechanism to reduce costs and carbon emissions, targeting the ASEAN transport market.

Prime E Truck Co., Ltd. announced a strategic partnership with DeepWay, a global developer of intelligent electric tractor truck technology, appointing Prime E Truck as the exclusive official distributor of DeepWay electric tractor trucks in Thailand. They officially launched the 100% electric flagship model “DeepWay Star 6x4” in the Thai market and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to systematically promote Thailand’s logistics transition from diesel to electric power. This collaboration marks a significant turning point for Thailand’s transport industry toward the "green logistics" era.

Prime E Truck: Joining forces with strong partners to elevate ASEAN transportation standards.

Prime E Truck Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Narong Group and a specialist in renewable energy, was selected by DeepWay as the official importer and distributor in Thailand. Mr. Narong Sakulsirirat, Chairman of Prime E Truck, shared his vision: “With a firm commitment to pioneering and leading Thailand’s transport transition from combustion engine commercial vehicles to clearly defined electric commercial vehicles—covering products, infrastructure, and after-sales services—we aim to enable logistics operators to confidently switch from diesel to electric, ensuring business value and long-term competitiveness.”

“Our cooperation with DeepWay marks the beginning of sustainably enhancing Thailand’s transport efficiency. We will combine world-class technology with local market understanding to reduce costs, enhance safety, and create strategic advantages for Thai logistics on the global stage.”

Mr. Tan Chang Yu, Co-founder and Chief Engineering Officer of DeepWay, commented on the collaboration: “As the world's first technology company to develop intelligent electric truck solutions with innovative design and industrial-scale commercial production, having delivered over 6,400 units in China, DeepWay is entering a critical phase by officially launching its fully electric heavy-duty trucks in Thailand, a strategic base for Southeast Asia. Partnering with Prime E Truck as the official DeepWay electric tractor distributor in Thailand, we aim to create a complete 'Vehicle + Service' ecosystem for Thai logistics operators to support a long-term transition to green transport.”

Mr. Chen Jun, ASEAN Service Executive of CATL, a global leader in battery innovation, emphasized the strengths of CATL’s third-generation battery, the heart of the DeepWay Star 6x4: “In heavy truck transport, battery lifespan is a key factor in total cost of ownership (TCO). Our battery lasts up to 8 years or 4,500 charge cycles, equating to 1.6 million kilometers, with no more than 30% degradation. When combined with DeepWay’s independent electric control system, average energy consumption is 1.3 kWh/km. The 600 kWh battery supports over 440 km per charge, making the DeepWay Star 6x4’s battery powertrain designed for truly heavy commercial use.”

Launch of DeepWay Star 6x4, a world-class intelligent electric tractor truck.

Mr. Patthanai Vanasrisun, Vice President of Marketing at Prime E Truck, highlighted the key features of the DeepWay Star 6x4: “We selected this flagship model for the launch because it is developed to meet the needs of long-haul container or cargo transport without frequent charging stops. Its main advantages include:

• 600 kWh battery from CATL

• Over 440 km range per full charge (fully loaded)

• Battery warranty of 6 years or 1,200,000 kilometers

• Intelligent energy management system averaging approximately 1.3 kWh/km

• High-level safety structure with Level 2 (L2) intelligent driving system

Additionally, the vehicle features a 360-degree intelligent thermal management system tested for durability in desert-like extreme heat, ensuring full performance in Thailand’s hot and humid climate.

Our tests of the DeepWay Star 6x4’s routes and performance in Thailand were highly satisfactory, achieving fuel consumption as low as 1.3 kWh per kilometer, costing only about 3.4 baht per kWh (based on on-peak 4.2 / off-peak 2.6 rates). This confirms that users will receive great value and a transformative experience for Thailand’s transport sector.

The marketing strategy focuses on medium to large fleets, the food industry, e-commerce, and supply chains aiming to reduce energy costs and carbon footprint, along with comprehensive after-sales services including depot charging station installation, maintenance, and driver training.

Reservations for the DeepWay Star 6x4 are now open with special offers for corporate customers. The price is set at 6,550,000 baht with a special discount of 300,000 baht per unit for the first 100 customers,” Mr. Patthanai stated.

Mr. Patthanai added: “Prime E Truck and DeepWay emphasize the significance of launching the DeepWay Star 6x4 in Thailand, as the market is ready to adopt new transport technologies, especially electric tractor trucks. This readiness is driven by government policies promoting electric vehicles, which have increased public understanding and trust from households to the transport business sector.”

“Moreover, government agencies and global business trends have implemented policies promoting green business (ESG), leading the private sector to focus on low-carbon policies. Therefore, entering the market now is the best timing, as all sectors are alert and prepared to truly embrace a Green Society,” Mr. Patthanai said.

Mr. Patthanai stated: “Initially, the company expects to sell 100 units in the first year, with 20 dealers nationwide and service centers. Prime E Truck has invested in building a technical center and a large spare parts warehouse at its headquarters in the Theparak area. We will aggressively educate on electric tractor truck usage to facilitate the transition from combustion engines to electric vehicles. Importantly, we must ensure customers’ confidence in after-sales service.”

Additionally, Prime E Truck has reached an agreement with DeepWay to jointly research and study the conversion of existing diesel internal combustion tractor trucks in Thailand to electric tractors, using DeepWay’s technology and key components. The study is expected to take 6-12 months, comprehensively covering vehicle modification, electric drive (E-Axle), battery system, and battery swapping methods to build confidence and address faster battery charging needs in the market.

“We believe that combining the introduction of new vehicles with the service of converting diesel trucks to electric will certainly enhance the competitiveness of Thailand’s logistics sector,” Mr. Patthanai concluded.
