
Toyota has joined forces with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to promote diverse travel modes through the Happiness Pathway project, introducing a new chapter of tourism in Central Thailand that ignites passion and dreams, aiming toward sustainable carbon neutrality.
Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd. announced that it has partnered with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, along with industry partners, to drive Thai tourism through the Happiness Pathway – A New Chapter of Central Thailand project that fuels passion and dreams.
The initiative promotes varied travel experiences in Central Thailand under the Multi-Pathway concept and the use of alternative energy vehicles, inviting the Active Senior demographic to discover new happiness in the region’s attractive cities.
Regarding the Happiness Pathway – A New Chapter of Central Thailand project,it is aprogram aimed at promoting tourism in attractive cities of Central Thailand, focusing on Gen X and Active Senior travelers (aged 50 and above).This aligns with the aging society structure and aims to deliver joyful experiences that connect travel, relaxation, and self-discovery.
This is achieved through experiential tourism activities that allow travelers to engage deeply with destinations, includingcultural tourism,community-based tourism, and various creative activities that refresh the spirit, enrich life experiences, and create new meanings for every journey.
Toyota Motor Thailand supportstheHappiness Pathway – A New Chapter of Central Thailand project to create travel experiences that prioritize safety and environmental friendliness.It is an extension ofthesustainable and pollution-free model city development project, which involved a cooperation agreement with Pattaya city.The work is conducted under the Multi-Pathway concept, a key mission of Toyota to achieve carbon neutrality by managing production processes to reduce environmental impact throughout the product life cycle (Life Cycle Assessment), while preparing various approaches (Multi-Pathway).
Toyota supports alternative energy vehicles with drivers, including Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), to suit the travel characteristics of each route. It also collaborates with Across Asia Co., Ltd. to design travel routes that cater to diverse traveler lifestyles and interests across five provinces:
1. Ratchaburi Province (Dreams in Clay)
2. Suphanburi Province (Echoes of Culture)
3. Nakhon Pathom Province (Whispers of Nature)
4. Saraburi Province (Hidden Gems Near the City)
5. Samut Songkhram Province (River of Inspiration)
The project plans to hold tourism activities in March 2026, beginning with the first route from Nakhon Pathom to Ratchaburi, to provide travel experiences that blend nature, culture, and community life, while promoting the concept of sustainable travel through the use of suitable alternative energy vehicles for each route.
