Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific Appoints Yukonthorn Wisetsosin as ASEAN President

Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific announced the appointment of Yukonthorn Wisetsosin as ASEAN President, overseeing Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Vietnam to drive unified operations and elevate regional performance.

On 3 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Don Romano, President of Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific, stated the company appointed Ms. Yukonthorn Wisetsosin (Vicky) as ASEAN President effective 2 Mar 2026 GMT+7. She will be responsible for integrated management of Hyundai’s operations across ASEAN countries—Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Vietnam—and will report directly to Mr. Romano.

In her new role, Vicky will lead Hyundai’s integrated ASEAN organization, translating strategic direction from the Asia Pacific headquarters into unified regional operations, ensuring alignment and connectivity across all countries, and driving stable, sustainable growth throughout ASEAN.

As an ASEAN market expert with deep practical insights, she brings over 20 years of senior leadership experience in the automotive and consumer goods industries.

Most recently, as President of ASEAN Markets and Asia Pacific Distributor Markets at Ford, she played a key role in expanding business across multiple countries, strengthening operational networks, and sustaining growth in highly competitive regional markets.
