Free Vehicle Inspections Offered for Cars and Motorcycles Ahead of Songkran 2669

Free Vehicle Inspections: The Department of Land Transport teams up with partners to offer free inspections for cars and motorcycles covering multiple items under the "Free Vehicle Check-Up for Safe Driving During Songkran" project. Free inspections are available from now until 15 Apr 2669 GMT+7.

Sorapong Paitoonpong, Director-General of the Department of Land Transport, said the department is collaborating with government and private partners to provide free preliminary vehicle inspections for cars and motorcycles before the Songkran 2669 festival travel period. Services are offered at no charge, including:

  • Checking the brake system and tire condition.
  • Inspecting engine operation, oil level and cleanliness, radiator condition and leaks, and air filters.
  • Checking the operation of headlights and various signal lights.
  • Inspecting for oil leaks from fuel tanks, fuel lines, and additionally, motorcycle hoses.
  • Some parts discounts are also provided.

Vehicle owners can bring their cars and motorcycles to service centers of government and private partner networks nationwide displaying signs for the free vehicle inspection and safe driving campaign, from now until 15 April 2669 GMT+7.


The free vehicle inspection and safe driving activity is part of the annual Department of Land Transport campaign to prevent and reduce road accidents during major festivals. It aims to raise awareness among vehicle owners on the importance of checking vehicle readiness, engine condition, and equipment before travel.
