Take a look at the Isuzu Challenge Thailand 2026 Racing Car, a pickup truck priced at 1.4 million baht, designed with a GT race car-style aerodynamic body featuring full-body aero parts from Tera Engineering. It is ready to race on the track at Motor Show 2026.
Reporters stated that Tri Petch Isuzu Sales Co., Ltd., or ISUZU, revealed that for Motor Show 2026, Isuzu brought a total of 15 vehicles to display, including 10 popular standard models covering the full lineup, led by the Isuzu D-Max pickup and the MU-X SUV, as well as an option for Thai customers with the Isuzu D-Max EV pickup, introduced for the first time at the event.
They added sportiness and excitement with five specially customized vehicles designed to inspire and captivate, led by the new ISUZU V-CROSS 4x4 THE ONE & ONLY and MU-X THE NEXT PEAK 4WD, featuring the 2.2 Ddi MAXFORCE engine in four-wheel drive, first introduced late February and showcased at the event.
A highlight includes the Isuzu D-Max pickup prototype race car for the ISUZU CHALLENGE THAILAND 2026 series and the ISUZU V-CROSS 4x4 with 2.2 Ddi MAXFORCE engine, where Isuzu collaborated with WILD, a renowned Thai parts manufacturer, to design special full-body accessories.
The MU-X THE NEXT PEAK 2.2 Ddi MAXFORCE RS in Dolomite White Pearl is enhanced to an aggressive style with Top Secret SPL customizations, marking the world’s first reveal of the TOP Secret The First PPV project.
The MU-X THE NEXT PEAK 2.2 Ddi MAXFORCE Active in Dolomite White Pearl, developed in partnership with Bangkok Hot Rod Custom Show—the largest custom car contest organizer in Thailand—has been transformed with a special Premium Tough styling package to captivate all eyes.
The Isuzu Challenge Thailand 2026 Racing Car, or Isuzu D-Max Spacecab 2.2 Ddi MAXFORCE, is a top-tier prototype race car that builds on ISUZU’s motorsport DNA, focusing on a platform that balances performance and elevated image. It was developed specifically to compete in the ISUZU CHALLENGE THAILAND 2026 series.
It is based on the Isuzu D-Max Spacecab model, upgraded with a tuned 2.2 Ddi MAXFORCE engine delivering a maximum 285 horsepower and peak torque of 507 Newton-meters, paired with a BK Racing clutch and a Limited Slip rear differential. It handles corners sharply with a 2-way Penske suspension system.
Equipped with special leaf springs, braking is controlled by Neotech EVO-R brakes featuring a 6-piston front caliper with 360 mm rotors and 4-piston rear calipers, using Ferodo brake pads. Stability is assured with 18-inch forged wheels (rear wheels fitted with Aerodisc covers) wrapped in Toyo Tires Proxes Sport 2, sized 275/40 R18, the official tires for the Isuzu Challenge.
The vehicle’s body is designed with a focus on GT race car-style aerodynamics, featuring full-body aero parts from Tera Engineering. Highlights include an adjustable front wing and rear spoiler, a specially designed tailgate cover with air fins, fender flares, side skirts, a rear diffuser, and tow hooks at both front and rear.
Inside the cockpit, the race car is fully sporty with an FIA-standard roll cage, racing seats, racing harnesses, window netting, an automatic fire suppression system, and a custom Zestek steering wheel. It also features advanced telemetry (Isuzu Challenge Technology) that records driving data, displaying engine and driver status in real time—marking the first time such a system is used in a one-make racing series.
