Summers Intense Sun: Lamina Film Protects Your Vehicle with the Truth

Lamina Film reinforces its position as a leader in providing factual information about window films with the campaign 'Lamina Film Protects You with the Truth.' This builds on delivering accurate test data, featuring a Total Solar Energy Rejection (TSER) value at 90 degrees, and expands the Lamina Digital EV Boost warranty to 10 years, marking the first online warranty offering.

Lamina Film, Thailand's number one premium window film market leader for over 30 years, launched the campaign 'Lamina Film Protects You with the Truth' to emphasize providing consumers with accurate performance test information using TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejection), the correct value measured by international standards to evaluate heat reduction from sunlight.

Ms. Jannapa Saisamorn, Chief Executive Officer of Techno Cell (Frey) Co., Ltd., sole importer and distributor of Lamina automotive and architectural window films, including high-quality special group films and Lumar stone-chip protection films by Eastman Performance Films from the United States in Thailand, revealed that despite efforts to provide correct information about window films, misinformation continues to reach consumers.

“Last year, Lamina promoted communication on window film performance testing through the campaign ‘Lamina Film, with every generation... with the truth,’ aiming to set a new standard for Thailand's window film market. This year, we continue to stimulate such activities with the campaign ‘Lamina Film Protects You with the Truth’ to reaffirm our leadership in delivering accurate information directly to consumers.”

Lamina confirms that international standard performance testing for automotive window film heat rejection must use the TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejection) value measured at 90 degrees only. Testing infrared radiation (IR) rejection, TSER at a 60-degree angle or other angles, or testing with tinted glass yields results higher than reality.

To protect consumers from misleading advertisements focusing only on high IR values, Lamina explains that infrared radiation accounts for only part of the heat and measures only certain wavelength ranges, not the entire heat from sunlight. Therefore, considering only IR values does not provide real benefits to vehicle users. Actual heat rejection must be based on window films with TSER values meeting standards set by AIMCAL and NFRC, certified by global institutions, rather than selective figures used in advertising that confuse or mislead consumers.

Beyond insisting on TSER values for heat rejection testing of window films sold, Lamina follows international standards set by AIMCAL (Association of International Metallizers, Coaters, and Laminators) and NFRC (National Fenestration Rating Council Certification) to measure total solar heat reduction, enabling customers to make informed window film choices.

The company is committed to importing products suitable for the evolving automotive market, including launching products with Lamina DigitalBoost® technology designed to support digital signal systems in modern vehicles. It also markets products aligned with growth in electric and smart cars, introducing Lamina Digital EV Boost films as the first to support all dimensions of new vehicle use.

“In addition to marketing products that meet consumer needs, we continue to build confidence among car owners by guaranteeing product quality and installation through the strength of our distributor network. This year marks the first time Lamina extends the warranty to 10 years for customers installing Lamina Digital EV Boost films who register their warranty online.”

Customers who install Lamina Digital EV Boost films, high-performance AI ceramic films, and register online at www.laminafilms.com receive a special 10-year warranty. This promotion runs until the end of this year, assuring consumers that besides choosing high-quality films, they will receive ongoing care from the company.

Lamina is confident in the quality of all its marketed products and services provided to customers for over 30 years. It was the first operator in Thailand to introduce ceramic films to the market, with installation standards matching international levels through a network of more than 800 trained dealers nationwide. Over 10 million people in Thailand use Lamina window films.

Ms. Jannapa commented on the premium automotive window film market, predicting slight growth aligned with the automotive industry's expansion to about 630,000 units. The overall window film market is expected to reach sales of 1.5 to 1.7 billion baht, driven by consumers seeking high-quality films that offer value in both products and services under current conditions.

“For Lamina Film, we are committed to providing the best customer care with high-quality products and excellent service, enabling us to maintain growth above the market average. We expect sales of 630 million baht this year, representing no less than a 33% market share. Continuous activities will be held throughout the year, especially at this year's Motor Show.”

At the Bangkok International Motor Show 2026, held from 25 March to 5 April 2026, Lamina will showcase over 100 window film models at booth A29/2 in IMPACT Challenger, Building 1. Special promotions include 0% installment plans and premium gifts for customers who book and install window films within the designated period.
