Car Reservations at Motor Show 2026 Reach 132,951 Units with 1.7 Million Visitors

The 2026 Motor Show has concluded, with organizers revealing that car reservations at the event reached 132,951 units, while the total number of visitors was 1,798,312.

Mr. Jaturon Komonmis, Vice Chairman of the Bangkok International Motor Show 2026, stated that despite Thailand's economy facing volatility and geopolitical conflicts, the Bangkok International Motor Show has remained a significant event supporting the Thai automotive industry for over 40 years.

"Throughout the Motor Show 2026, a total of 132,951 cars and 2,056 motorcycles were reserved, with total attendance reaching 1,798,312 visitors. This reflects a continuous recovery in purchasing power and market confidence."

This year's key highlight was the expansion of the electric vehicle (EV) segment, with leading brands from Asia and Europe continuously introducing new technologies and innovations, offering consumers a wider range of choices. Meanwhile, internal combustion engine vehicles continue to attract interest, especially SUVs and pickup trucks that meet practical everyday needs.

"The success of this event is measured not only by reservation numbers but also by its role as a platform connecting manufacturers, dealers, and consumers, driving the Thai automotive industry’s transition into the new energy era in a concrete way."

Additionally, the event featured sales promotions, special offers, and test-drive activities that effectively encouraged consumer purchasing decisions, along with presentations of safety technologies, intelligent driving assistance systems, and future mobility solutions.

Overall, this year’s event marks an important milestone reflecting the direction of the Thai automotive industry, which is entering a transitional era in technology, consumer behavior, and market structure, with the Bangkok International Motor Show serving as the main platform propelling and energizing the entire automotive industry system in Thailand.

Mr. Jaturon added that the outstanding success of this year’s event resulted from the dedication and collaboration of all parties involved, especially expressing gratitude to the executives of Grand Prix International Public Company Limited, whose critical role ensured the smooth and highly successful organization of the show. He also thanked all staff who worked tirelessly throughout the period leading up to the event.

"I also thank all participants, including car and motorcycle brands, automotive industry operators, and the public who showed overwhelming interest and visited the event. Everyone played a crucial part in driving this success, confirming the importance of this automotive exhibition at both national and regional levels."

However, the company remains committed to continuously developing and enhancing the event format to meet changes in the automotive world today and in the future, aiming for the Bangkok International Motor Show to become one of the region's leading international automotive exhibitions.

Look forward to the Bangkok International Motor Show 2027, scheduled from 22 March to 4 April 2027 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, expected to be grander and more intense than previous years.
