AUMOVIO focuses on future mobility by offering advanced solutions for software-defined vehicles.

AUMOVIO was established in September 2025 by separating the former Automotive division of Continental. It builds on extensive global automotive industry experience and expertise to develop technologies aligned with the industry's shift toward intelligent, connected, and software-driven vehicles.

The launch in Thailand reflects AUMOVIO’s long-term commitment to Southeast Asia and its intention to work closely with customers and partners across ASEAN. Thailand plays an increasingly important role as a strategic base enabling faster technology development, regional collaboration, and quicker real-world application.

Peter Rangel, CEO of AUMOVIO (Thailand), said, “Today’s launch demonstrates AUMOVIO’s commitment to driving growth in ASEAN through comprehensive hardware, software, and service solutions for the automotive industry. We are ready to collaborate closely with customers and partners to advance technology into practical use, supporting the transition to connected, software-driven vehicles while continuously enhancing safety standards and user experience.”

AUMOVIO offers a comprehensive portfolio of automotive technologies covering hardware, software, and services.

The company’s business is divided into four main segments: Autonomous and Commercial Mobility (ACM), providing assisted, semi-autonomous, and autonomous driving solutions including commercial and specialty vehicles; Architecture and Network Solutions (ANS), delivering high-performance computing, zonal architectures, connectivity and telematics, operating systems, middleware, edge ECUs for fast data access, and system integration services; Safety and Motion (SAM), focusing on integrated safety and motion control technologies such as braking, airbags, sensors, and electronic air suspension; and User Experience (UX), enhancing cabin experience through digital displays, visualization solutions, and head-up displays.

At the core of this portfolio is AUMOVIO’s “Road to Cloud” ecosystem, designed to fully support the development of software-centric vehicles. It includes operating systems, middleware, over-the-air software updates, cybersecurity, high-performance computing, zonal architectures, telematics sensors, actuators, electronic control units (ECUs), displays, and vertical and cross-domain system integration. This framework also facilitates cloud-based development and collaboration, enabling automakers to accelerate innovation and open pathways to new, safe, connected, and future-ready mobility solutions.

During its official launch in Thailand, AUMOVIO showcased future technologies through an innovation display featuring new solutions that illustrate the shift toward smarter, more user-friendly travel experiences seamlessly integrated with real driving. A highlight was the autonomous truck solution, developed in partnership with Aurora, designed for commercial applications. The two companies collaborate on design, development, testing, delivery, and support of autonomous driving systems for the trucking industry. This system is expected to be available to transport providers and commercial fleet operators in the U.S., helping reduce costs and support widespread adoption.

The event also presented automated parking technology designed to make advanced parking functions easier and more natural in everyday situations. It helps drivers confidently handle curves, tight spaces, parallel parking, and complex parking scenarios. Additionally, AUMOVIO introduced approach-detection and deviceless access solutions that combine ultra-wideband radar, AI algorithms, existing vehicle sensors, and camera-based sensor fusion to enhance convenient, secure, and natural vehicle access experiences.

Another major highlight was AUMOVIO’s new modular brake system portfolio, offering four levels from wet brakes to fully dry brakes, including development of brake-by-wire technology. This aims to improve driving performance, enable independent brake force control, extend electric vehicle driving range, and reduce maintenance. The company also introduced window projection technology that transforms side car windows into personalized, real-time information displays, opening new possibilities for communication, interaction, and user experience.

Beyond its innovation portfolio, AUMOVIO has the business scale and market strength to support long-term growth. It collaborates with leading automakers worldwide, including traditional and new players, leveraging technology expertise, a strong partner network, global operations, and a local-for-local approach. In fiscal year 2025, AUMOVIO reported adjusted consolidated sales of 18.5 billion euros and an adjusted EBIT margin of 3.9%, with about 80% of sales from globally leading product lines, reflecting portfolio strength, competitive potential, and customer confidence.

AUMOVIO continues to advance its “Lead. Transform. Deliver.” strategy, focusing on technology leadership for the future, especially software-centric vehicle solutions, alongside improving organizational efficiency through operational excellence and disciplined, transparent, and reliable delivery.

The official launch in Thailand reaffirms AUMOVIO’s long-term commitment to ASEAN and reflects the company’s intention to drive the future of mobility in the region with safe, connected, intelligent technologies ready for future change.
