Metro Group is ready to make history by sending the HONGQI E-HS9, a 100% electric vehicle, on a 6,000-km journey from China to Thailand.
Mr. Bodin Boonvisut, CEO of Metro Group, said that since HONGQI, orHongqi,has been a source of pride for China since 1958 and continues to be so. This marks an important milestone for this classic luxury Chinese car brand entering the Thai market.
In this regard,Metro Grouphas created a brand experience activity to pave the way for the official launch in Thailand through the project "One Route... One Connection" under the One Belt One Road initiative, featuring theHongqi(HONGQI) E-HS9, linking tourism and culture through a journey from China to Thailand spanning over 6,000 km.
For this trip, Phuri Hirunprak from Viewfinder Thailand and Nong Wanwan Arunnapha Panitcharoen, a popular influencer, will share their driving experiences of theHongqicar, and I will participate in driving some segments of the route as well.
The journey will begin at the Great Wall of China, proceed to Luoyang, head to Chengdu, then Kunming, pass through Xishuangbanna, enter Laos at Luang Prabang, and enter Thailand at Nan province, continuing to Sukhothai, Ayutthaya, and concluding in Bangkok.
