Introducing the CHERY V27, a REEV electric vehicle with a boxy off-road style, confirmed to enter the Thai market.
Mr. Jeff Zhang, CEO of CHERY Brand International, announced that CHERY achieved a major milestone by exporting over 5 million vehicles as of June 2025, becoming the first Chinese automotive brand to reach this success. At the 2026 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, CHERY showcased future automotive technologies to offer new experiences to visitors and unveiled the TIGGO V, an SUV developed under the concept of an adaptable SUV.
This vehicle is designed to support diverse uses for both daily life and adventure travel. It features CSH (Chery Super Hybrid) technology that combines performance and fuel efficiency, reflecting a family-oriented vehicle design through three key values: Versatility, combining SUV strength, MPV comfort, and camper or pickup flexibility; Value, supporting every family use and enhancing convenience; and Victory, symbolizing a vehicle ready to accompany families toward life goals.
Additionally, it offers three usage modes to suit all family lifestyles. The SUV Mode features a Tiger-inspired design and comprehensive safety: confident and safe on every journey, highlighted by a V-shaped grille and LED headlights shaped like tiger claws. The body structure uses 76% high-strength steel and aluminum, with intelligent driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), and Automatic Parking Assist.
The MPV Mode offers a spacious 3-row cabin, comfortable for the whole family, seating seven passengers with ample open interior space. The seats can adjust and fold to create a Bed Mode, with 42 storage compartments and a three-zone climate control system equipped with N95-grade air filters to enhance comfort and health during travel.
The PUP Mode supports various lifestyles and practical uses: versatile cargo carrying with a detachable rear structure to increase load capacity, suitable for commercial use and outdoor activities like camping. It can be fitted with accessories such as rooftop tents, in-car refrigerators, or other cargo equipment.
Beyond comprehensive performance and adaptability to all conditions, the TIGGO V features CHERY's latest hybrid drive system delivering powerful yet fuel-efficient performance. The PHEV model consumes just 6 liters per 100 km, while the combustion engine version uses 7.84 liters per 100 km. The suspension supports all road conditions with 220 mm ground clearance, water fording up to 700 mm, and can handle slopes up to 30 degrees, making it suitable for both urban and rough terrains.
The CHERY V27 is a right-hand drive electric vehicle with a boxy off-road design under the New Energy Off-road SUV concept, blending classic and modern elements to meet the needs of new-generation users, especially in Southeast Asia and Oceania where demand for right-hand drive vehicles is growing.
The V27 features REEV (Range-Extender Electric Vehicle) technology in a large SUV format, supporting both two-wheel and four-wheel drive systems. The vehicle measures 5,055 mm in length with a 2,910 mm wheelbase, providing a spacious and comfortable cabin for all trips. It also offers 220 mm ground clearance and can ford water up to 600 mm, suitable for both city driving and off-road routes.
Performance-wise, the V27 can travel over 1,200 kilometers total (CLTC standard) and offers up to 200 kilometers of pure electric range. It also incorporates NVH Optimization technology to reduce noise and vibration, delivering a quieter and smoother driving experience inside the cabin.
With comprehensive features and safety standards developed according to CNCAP and ENCAP protocols in Europe and China, the V27 stands as a global flagship model reflecting the brand's capability and vision to develop new energy vehicles that truly meet future consumer needs.
Mr. Jim Lee, Managing Director of CHERY Thailand, stated that participating in Auto China 2026 is a key opportunity to showcase CHERY's new technologies and vehicles to consumers worldwide. It also highlights the brand's growth and strength in Thailand and globally. The company remains committed to continuously developing automotive technologies and innovations to provide driving experiences that meet modern users' performance, safety, and lifestyle needs.
