
Toyota assesses that the automotive market in May 2026 continues to recover, benefiting from cumulative orders from the Motor Show, along with the highlight of starting deliveries. "Toyota LAND CRUISER FJ"in its first month, with expected orders exceeding 2,000 units. It is confidently seen as a key model helping Toyota maintain its top market share after achieving over 79,000 sales in the first four months, holding the highest market share at 34.35%.
Mr. Supakorn Rattanaworaha, Senior Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., said the overall market outlook for May 2026 is expected to recover and grow compared to April. This is supported by positive seasonal index factors and the gradual delivery of vehicles from orders placed during the 2026 Motor Show.
For Toyota, deliveries of the Toyota LAND CRUISER FJ began in May, marking the first month for this new vehicle that has created a sensation and received very positive customer response.
"We expect that by May, orders for the LAND CRUISER FJ since its launch will reach as high as 2,000 units. Additionally, the popularity of this model will be another key driver helping Toyota maintain its leadership in automotive market share."
Toyota's cumulative sales in the first four months of 2026 stand at 79,180 units, representing a 34.35% market share and a 4.76% growth compared to the same period last year, led by:
1. Pure Pick Up segment including Hilux Travo, Revo, and Champ, with cumulative sales of 25,194 units.
2. Eco segment including Yaris and Yaris ATIV, with salesaccumulatedat 23,952 units.
- In Thailand, cumulative vehicle sales for the first four months of 2026 totaled 230,477 units, an increase of 15.02% compared to the same period last year.
- Passenger cars and SUVs recorded cumulative sales of 157,099 units, up 23.91% from the previous year.
- Pickup trucks had cumulative sales of 48,324 units, down 5.84% from last year.
- Electric pickup trucks (BEV) had cumulative sales of 423 units, an increase of 144.51% from last year.
- PPV vehicles sold 14,746 units, up 16.35% from the previous year.
