EV Station PluZ to Fine Those Who Park Idly, Block or Leave Chargers Plugged In at 10 Baht per Minute

The era of EV charger warriors at EV Station PluZ is ending, as fines will be imposed on those who park idly, block chargers, or fail to unplug after charging, at 10 baht per minute. EV users online agree but think the fine is too low too little.

On 5 June 2026, reporters reported that EV Station PluZ, under PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR), announced it will impose fines on users at their charging stations.Electric vehicles. Those who park idly, block chargers, or fail to unplug after their charging time has ended will be fined 10 baht per minute to help reduce these problems.

EV Station PluZ has already opened over 1,350 locations covering all 77 provinces nationwide (data as of April 2026). OR remains committed to continuously expanding the charging station network, including at PTT Station service points and high-potential commercial areas.

Examples include shopping centers, hotels, resorts, restaurants, and office buildings, to build confidence among electric vehicle users by developing and expanding a sufficient network of charging stations to meet the growing demand continuously.

However, when EV Station PluZ announced this message on their Facebook fan page, many electric vehicle users and social media participants joined the conversation, stating:

Dreaminess Nawamin "10 baht per minute is very low. Can you charge by the second? 1 baht per second would definitely make people rush to their cars immediately."

Nattapong Arunsukpisa "Don’t forget to put up a big sign at the charger stations. Otherwise, some might claim they didn’t know about the fine."

Benjapol Cmn "I’d like to see 100 baht per minute. That would guarantee no one would linger. Haha."

Jack Taylor "It’s better than no fine at all. Actually, I hope the fine is even heavier to make it memorable.""So they learn their lesson."

Nut Announcer "This rule should have been established long ago to improve the EV community. The money from these fines could be used to improve products. But honestly, I think the fine is too low. Maybe 50 baht for the first 5 minutes, then 100 baht thereafter would be okay."
