regarding the news about the fire incident involving a BYD DOLPHIN electric car on 16 June 2026 GMT+7 in Khon Kaen Province (Electric car charging causes house fire destroying home; four people escape; forensics collecting evidence to determine true cause)
the company is aware of the incident and expresses concern for the customers and all those affected.
After being notified, the company immediately dispatched expert teams to investigate the facts. Preliminary investigation and evidence review confirmed the fire did not originate from the vehicle itself but resulted from external factors involving the electrical circuit outside the vehicle and the car charger, unrelated to the internal vehicle system.
The company places the highest priority on customer safety, will conduct a careful and detailed ongoing investigation, and will provide updates on progress.
