An in-depth exploration of AVATR's Emotive Luxury concept from its world-class design team, where a car is not just a vehicle but an emotional bond.

In an era when performance is no longer the sole factor in choosing an electric vehicle, AVATR, a luxury electric car brand, offers a different perspective—believing that a car’s distinction lies not only in performance but also in the initial impression from sight and touch.

This belief is reflected in AVATR’s design philosophy under the Emotive Luxury concept, which transforms the car into a companion reflecting feelings and meeting all driver needs, based on CMF—Color, Material & Finish—a discipline used by AVATR’s world-class design team to perfectly convey emotions through the first impressions of sight and touch.


Bozhena Lalova (Bozhena Lalova) The CMF Design Director at AVATR’s global design center in Munich said AVATR does not see cars merely as transport from point A to B, but upholds a philosophy called Emotive Luxury—luxury that connects emotionally. The ultimate goal is to build a relationship between people and cars, making users feel connected, reflect their identity, and emotionally engage with the vehicle. The Emotive Luxury concept is divided into three levels as follows.


1. Bold Purity: The design foundation emphasizes simple, clean shapes without excessive complexity, yet conveys a premium feel.

2. Harmony with a Twist: Creating tasteful distinctions, such as using unique materials and color combinations that break conventional automotive market rules, especially in interiors that highlight light tones and premium materials to stand out while maintaining luxury.

3. Vibrant Individuality: Giving each car a unique identity, akin to highlighting each child’s distinctive personality, so owners feel truly special and connected.

In today’s technology-driven world, we believe technology and design must go hand in hand (Design + Technology = One Experience). Advanced technology must be presented through beautiful design, and excellent design must be supported by good technology.

Moreover, entering the electric vehicle (EV) era unlocks traditional engineering constraints of combustion engines—such as engine space and cooling systems—giving designers greater freedom to create proportions, shapes, and usable space than ever before.

Bozhena Lalova added that importantly, customers do not just buy a car but purchase design, emotion, experience, and brand identity—whether it’s the Light Signature or the cabin atmosphere. Regarding materials, AVATR focuses on sustainability and innovation.


They select premium materials such as vegetable-tanned leather, real wood, and eco-friendly materials. To emphasize ultimate luxury, the World Edition car displayed is decorated with the highest quality genuine leather from Portugal.
