Hyundai has launched the new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line, assembled in Thailand, featuring full specifications and priced at 1.399 million baht, with production limited to just 400 units.
Mr. Jae Kyu Jung, CEO of Hyundai Mobility (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said the new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line marks an important step for Hyundai in Thailand. It builds upon the global success of the IONIQ 5, which has played a key role in driving sales of over 500,000 units worldwide across Hyundai’s IONIQ electric vehicle family.
Last year, the new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line underwent a product enhancement both inside and out, combining strengths in technology, comfort, safety, and quality from the IONIQ 5 with the sporty character and design of the high-performance IONIQ 5 N. Under the slogan "Never Ordinary," it aims to meet the needs of Thai customers who seek a distinctive, unique EV with stylish design that turns heads wherever it goes.
At the same time, assembling the new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line in Thailand reflects Hyundai's confidence in the country's capabilities—in workforce, manufacturing partners, automotive supply chain, and internationally recognized quality standards. Currently, the IONIQ 5 is produced at six Hyundai plants worldwide out of 14 total, including locations in South Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, India, the USA, and Thailand. The Thailand-assembled new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line makes Thailand the second country after South Korea’s Busan to produce the N Line variant.
Thailand has thus become one of Hyundai’s global IONIQ 5 assembly bases through Hyundai Mobility Manufacturing (Thailand), operating both EV assembly and a high-voltage battery plant. Our goal is to deliver 100% electric vehicles to Thai customers with quality, safety, and standards matching Hyundai’s global offerings, while establishing Thailand as a key player in Hyundai’s future EV business.
Key highlights of the new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line
Mr. Kim Inhwa, General Manager of Hyundai Mobility Manufacturing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (HMMT), said HMMT has capabilities to assemble both vehicles and high-voltage batteries. We prioritize precision and maximum safety, employing technology, machinery, and automation systems from South Korea, supervised by Hyundai experts. This ensures that every vehicle assembled at HMMT meets the same global Hyundai standards, assuring Thai customers of quality.
The new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line assembled in Thailand retains the strengths of Hyundai’s dedicated EV platform, E-GMP, designed exclusively for 100% electric vehicles. It features advanced 800-volt high-voltage electrical technology and a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery with an increased capacity of 84 kWh, up from the previous Exclusive (Long Range) model’s 72 kWh. The battery operates at 697 volts and is designed for modular replacement, facilitating easier maintenance.
This modular design helps reduce long-term maintenance costs and provides a maximum driving range of 591 kilometers under the NEDC standard or 530 kilometers per WLTP standards, alleviating range anxiety for customers using the EV as their primary family car for daily commutes and interprovincial travel. Regarding charging, the new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line supports DC fast charging up to 350 kW, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 18 minutes, significantly reducing wait times on long trips. It also supports AC charging up to 10.5 kW via a Type 2 connector, taking about 7 hours and 35 minutes to charge from 10% to 100%.
This makes overnight charging at home or accommodation convenient, enhancing everyday EV usability and enabling drivers to plan their trips more easily. Additionally, it includes Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, supplying up to 3.6 kW of power from the car to external electrical devices. This adds flexibility for outdoor activities, travel, or emergency power needs.
Rear-wheel-drive performance with 225 horsepower, 350 Nm torque, and five driving modes The new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line uses a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor paired with rear-wheel drive, delivering up to 225 horsepower (168 kW) and 350 Newton-meters of torque. This setup offers the responsive acceleration typical of electric vehicles, achieving 0–100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, with a top speed of 185 km/h—ideal for customers seeking a fun, agile EV with confident overtaking ability.
At the same time, it offers smoothness and quietness for daily use. The suspension features a front MacPherson strut and rear multi-link setup with a high-performance Damping Control System, enhancing driving stability. Ventilated disc brakes on both front and rear wheels with an Active Hydraulic Booster work in tandem with regenerative braking. Drivers can adjust energy recuperation levels via paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
The new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line offers five driving modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, My Drive, and Snow. These allow drivers to tailor the vehicle’s response to their needs, from energy-efficient driving to everyday use, or more thrilling performance.
A 3,000 mm wheelbase provides a spacious and comfortable cabin with maximum cargo capacity of 1,580 liters One of the standout features of the new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line is its 3,000 mm wheelbase, which expands interior space for a roomy, airy cabin and comfortable seating in all positions. This suits customers looking for a family EV, long-distance travel, or who prioritize rear passenger comfort.
The vehicle measures 4,655 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,605 mm in height, with 520 liters of trunk space expandable up to 1,580 liters by folding the rear seats. This versatility accommodates daily luggage, sports gear, suitcases, or family holiday travel needs.
Inside, the cabin features genuine leather seats with N logos, electrically adjustable front seats with lumbar support, heated and ventilated front seats, two memory settings for the driver’s seat, and a Zero Gravity driver’s seat with electric recline and leg rest to enhance relaxation during charging stops or breaks.

Functions are customizable and connectivity is seamless via touchscreen and physical buttons. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support enables easy access to navigation, music, calls, and apps without cables.
Entertainment is enhanced by a BOSE Premium Sound System with an external amplifier and eight speakers for high-quality cabin audio. Bluetooth, USB-C multimedia connections, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates ensure future-proof functionality and convenience.
Hyundai Bluelink debuts in Thailand, smartphone connectivity adds convenience and peace of mind The new 2026 IONIQ 5 N Line is the first model in Thailand to feature Hyundai Bluelink Connected Car Services, an intelligent connectivity system enabling users to interact with their vehicle via a smartphone app. This enhances convenience, safety, and confidence in daily life by allowing users to check vehicle status before trips.
Users can monitor lock status, vehicle condition, and other essential information, remotely lock or unlock the car, pre-condition the climate before entering, locate the vehicle in parking lots, navigate using the screen during trips, and receive alerts for abnormalities or theft risks. Bluelink makes the EV experience more user-friendly.
Especially useful in Thailand’s climate, drivers can pre-cool the cabin before entry or locate their car in large parking areas like malls, offices, or airports. Hyundai Bluelink and OTA services are offered free for the first three years from the vehicle’s delivery date.
