Mercedes-Benz Thailand Announces First Half Sales, Launches FLEX Mobility Campaign and New GLC EV

Mercedes-Benz Thailand announced its financial results for the first half of 2026, reporting a 130% growth in the 100% electric vehicle segment, reflecting the success of the accessible all-new electric CLA. Alongside Mobility Solutions Provider, they rebranded financial products and after-sales services with the FLEX Mobility campaign featuring the Flex to fit you concept. This new promotion offers greater flexibility, making Mercedes-Benz vehicles more accessible. The StarChoice package allows customers to add options like StarProtection first-class insurance, StarCare maintenance program, and StarGuarantee extended warranty. The full package costs 6,000 baht per month, offering savings up to 400,000 baht compared to regular package prices. This flexible approach caters to individuals, corporate clients, and fleet sales, with the campaign starting from 1 August 2026.

Globally, Mercedes-Benz achieved over 511,900 vehicle sales in Q2 2026. The best-selling segment was 100% electric vehicles, growing 50% with sales exceeding 52,900 units, accounting for 13% of total Passenger Cars sales. Major contributors include the recently launched new CLA Electric and GLC models. Pre-orders for the all-new electric C-Class began in May, with the world premiere of the all-new electric GLA scheduled for late July. The Top-End Vehicle segment received strong responses following the launch of the new S-Class and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class in Q1, with plans for official launches in Thailand by year-end.

In Thailand, Mercedes-Benz reported cumulative registrations of 3,557 vehicles and total sales of 2,845 units in the first half of 2026. The 100% electric vehicle segment grew 130%, driven by over 300 new CLA sales within two months, and 1,350 cumulative bookings. Production capacity for this model ranges from 100 to 200 units monthly at the Thonburi Group’s manufacturing and assembly plant. They collaborate with Power Tech Energy Solutions to supply high-voltage batteries specifically for Mercedes-Benz’s 100% electric vehicles.

Additionally, in the Top-End Vehicle segment, Mercedes-Maybach grew by 83%, and the G-Class by 100%. The plug-in hybrid segment increased 34% overall. Among vans, two models showed steady growth: the Sprinter rose 83%, and the V-Class grew by 14%.

Christian Schell, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Thailand, said the first half results globally and locally demonstrate significant growth amid current global challenges. The 100% electric vehicle segment’s expansion partly stems from the brand’s Product Portfolio strategy, featuring key models like the CLA Electric in Thailand. The second half of the year promises many new models to energize Thailand’s automotive industry across both 100% electric and Top-End Vehicle segments.

In 2026, besides launching new models and celebrating 140 years of automotive innovation, a key strategy is Customer Centricity, showcased through the Retail of the Future business model. Mercedes-Benz aims to elevate the ownership experience as a Mobility Solutions Provider by offering lifestyle-aligned options under the FLEX Mobility Campaign. This campaign designs more flexible financial products and after-sales services, covering three phases: Pre-FLEX, allowing customers to customize purchase packages via StarChoice; We-FLEX, co-creating ownership experiences through lifestyle activities and benefits; and Re-FLEX, offering three choices at contract end—return, refinance, or retain ownership. This flexible approach ensures seamless journeys and customer participation in designing their own experience.

Mercedes-Benz Thailand launched the FLEX Mobility campaign alongside a rebrand of financial products and after-sales services, now under the StarChoice package. This includes first-class insurance StarProtection (formerly MB Protection), maintenance program StarCare (formerly MBSP Easy Care), and extended warranty StarGuarantee (formerly MBSP Extra Guarantee).

The FLEX campaign offers three optional packages: a single option at 3,000 baht, two options at 5,000 baht, and a full package covering all three at 6,000 baht monthly, over a 3-5 year contract. These costs are added to the chosen car’s starting installment. Initially, eight car models are included in two groups, detailed as follows.
