Thonburi Neustein has launched the GEELY STARRAY EM-R, featuring an electric and gasoline powertrain, with a starting price of 699,900 baht.
Kulchat Chutichaowakul, acting CEO of Thonburi Neustein Co., Ltd., said the GEELY STARRAY EM-R made its world debut in Thailand, reflecting GEELY's confidence in the potential of the Thai market as a key strategic market in the region.

Key features of the GEELY STARRAY EM-R
- The GEELY STARRAY EM-R combines electric and gasoline power with EM-R technology, powered by a 100% electric motor and a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine compatible with E20 gasoline in a REEV (Range Extended Electric Vehicle) setup. It uses GEELY’s proprietary 11-in-1 electric motor technology, which is lightweight, energy-efficient, yet delivers high performance with a maximum power of 160 kilowatts and peak torque of 262 Newton-meters.
- It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8 seconds and has a top speed of 170 km/h.
- Equipped with an 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery sufficient for daily use. The cell-to-pack battery assembly technology is durable and has passed tests in various conditions, ensuring peace of mind in all driving and road situations.
- Offers three driving modes: Pure mode uses 100% electric power, and when the battery charge is low, the engine activates to generate electricity to recharge the battery and power the motor.
- Hybrid mode combines both systems, automatically adjusting the drive system based on usage by primarily using battery power as in Pure mode, supplemented by engine-generated electricity as needed.
- Power mode delivers enhanced driving performance by using battery electricity supplemented by engine-generated power, providing quicker and more responsive acceleration.
- Built on the robust GEA (Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture) platform designed specifically for alternative energy vehicles, with a multi-link rear suspension tested extensively on various Thai roads.
