CHERY announced the achievement of its boxy-style multipurpose vehicle, the V23, passing the 5-star safety standard certification from ASEAN NCAP, the ASEAN regional vehicle safety testing program, providing confidence in the safety of both drivers and passengers in the CHERY V23.
The CHERY V23 is the first boxy-style vehicle to achieve the highest safety score with a total of 91.02 points, reflecting the product's advanced safety technology. The evaluation results are divided into four main categories as follows.
Adult Occupant Protection (AOP)
Scored 39.71 points from tests on the vehicle's structural integrity in frontal and side collisions, finding that the passenger compartment remains stable and effectively protects the occupants' chest areas.
Child Occupant Protection (COP)
Scored 16.67 points from tests using child dummies aged 18 months and 3 years, demonstrating good protection for child passengers in both frontal and side collisions.
Safety Assist (SA)
Scored 17.14 points from tests of the automatic emergency braking systems: AEB City for stationary lead vehicles and AEB Inter-Urban for moving lead vehicles, including emergency braking at various speeds. The CHERY V23 comes standard with both AEB City and AEB Inter-Urban systems on all variants and has been certified to meet ASEAN NCAP requirements.
Motorcyclist Safety (MS)
Scored 17.50 points from tests of the Blind Spot Detection (BSD) system on both left and right sides, which is standard on all variants and has been certified to meet ASEAN NCAP standards, covering both sides of the vehicle.

In addition to the CHERY V23, the TIGGO 7 PHEV and TIGGO 8 PHEV models have also impressively scored a total of 94.68 points, earning the highest 5-star safety rating from ANCAP and a 5-star safety certification from EURO NCAP. These achievements reflect CHERY's progress and dedication to advancing safety technology.
