MG Begins Production of NEW MG URBAN Electric Vehicle, Ready for Delivery Upon Price Launch

MG has begun production of the NEW MG URBAN electric vehicle and will be ready to deliver cars immediately when prices are announced on 17 June 2026 GMT+7.

SAIC Motor-CP Co., Ltd. and MG Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the manufacturers and distributors of MG vehicles in Thailand, stated that the company is fully prepared ahead of the official launch of the NEW MG URBAN on 17 June 2026 GMT+7.

This preparation covers production, parts and spare parts management, and comprehensive quality control processes to ensure efficient delivery to Thai customers immediately after launch, reflecting MG’s commitment to offering electric vehicles that meet real user needs and build long-term consumer confidence.

The NEW MG URBAN has undergone production readiness and quality inspection processes according to MG’s standards to ensure every vehicle is ready for nationwide delivery immediately following the official launch.


Additionally, MG has planned systematic management of parts, spare parts, and logistics alongside comprehensive after-sales support to accommodate the growth of Thailand’s electric vehicle market, while enhancing customer service speed and consistency throughout the vehicle’s lifespan.

The arrival of the NEW MG URBAN marks an important model strengthening MG’s electric vehicle lineup in Thailand, catering to modern consumers seeking an electric vehicle that simplifies life with a spacious size, versatility, and cutting-edge technology, ready for any journey.


NEW MG URBAN The electric hatchback is available in three trims and five body colors: Lavender Purple, Modern Beige, Arctic White, Andes Grey, and Pearl Black, with a two-tone gray–black interior.

The NEW MG URBAN is the latest electric hatchback produced in Thailand (CKD) with key features as follows:
