The NEW MG URBAN, nicknamed “Nong Muang” (Little Purple), is MG’s latest electric hatchback model assembled in Thailand (CKD).
The NEW MG URBAN, a Thailand-assembled (CKD) electric hatchback, emphasizes premium quality, spaciousness, and urban convenience, marketed alongside the MG4, which focuses on sporty driving enjoyment.
The body dimensions use the dedicated SAIC E3 Pure Electric Platform with Cell-to-Body (CTB) structural technology: length 4,395 mm, width 1,842 mm, height 1,549 mm, wheelbase 2,750 mm, rear legroom 984 mm, cargo space 382–1,266 liters (with rear seats folded). It has a minimum turning radius of 5.2 meters. The front suspension is independent MacPherson strut; rear is torsion beam, designed for smooth comfort suitable for city traffic. Brakes are four-wheel disc with ventilated front discs. Steering is electric rack and pinion (C-EPS).
Motor, battery, and range specs for the Thai market switch to front-wheel drive (FWD) for smooth and agile driving, using LFP batteries supplied by CATL.
STANDARD (entry-level trim):
Electric motor delivers a maximum of 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque.
Battery capacity is 42.8 kWh.

Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.4 seconds, featuring One Pedal driving and five drive modes (Eco, Normal, Sport, Snow, Custom).
