GEELY RIDDARA Advances New Energy Pickup Trucks in Thailand to Meet All Usage Needs

GEELY RIDDARA is pushing forward to make new energy pickups a primary choice for Thai users with an expanded lineup including the ALL-NEW GEELY RIDDARA ECON L and NEW GEELY RIDDARA RD6 MY2026, catering to professional commercial use, business, family, and lifestyle needs.

Mr. Zhao Feng, General Manager of GEELY RIDDARA THAILAND, said maintaining the 4th position in the Double Cab pickup market for the third consecutive month is a significant milestone. He emphasized that their focus is not only on growth in the new energy pickup market.

But on making consumers consider new energy pickups as a main option when buying a pickup. They believe Thai users are looking for a vehicle that can do more — professional commercial work, capable of both on-road and off-road driving, with increased loading, towing, and capacity.

Moreover, GEELY RIDDARA creates valuable shared experiences for families in daily life and adventure travel. This new energy pickup was developed to truly meet the diverse needs of consumers for practical use.

A key recent shift for GEELY RIDDARA has been expanding its product range to better meet varied pickup user needs. At the BIG Motor Sale 2026, GEELY RIDDARA launched the ALL-NEW GEELY RIDDARA ECON L.

Available in both 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive, it features a 240 mm longer cargo bed, totaling 1,765 mm in length, with a capacity increased to 1,380 liters—comparable to single or extended cab pickups—supporting a maximum load of 1,235 kg to enhance usage potential and serve professional commercial operators.

It also offers spacious second-row passenger seating, which typical extended cab pickups lack. This means consumers get both high cargo capacity and passenger comfort, no longer needing to choose between the two.

This perfect blend is what GEELY RIDDARA delivers to consumers, alongside energy costs per kilometer that are 20% lower than conventional internal combustion engine pickups, making it the most economical choice for business owners prioritizing efficiency and cost reduction.

Another newly introduced model gaining attention is the NEW GEELY RIDDARA RD6 MY2026, which features upgraded design, technology, and driving experience to support daily, family, and lifestyle uses. The upgrades clearly differentiate the RD6 from the ECON, including the addition of an LED grille.

The RD6 model sports a large RIDDARA badge on the front grille, matching the 4-wheel drive version. It delivers outstanding performance with 315 kilowatts of power, maximum torque of 595 Newton-meters, a top range of 503 kilometers (NEDC), acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds,

and a top speed of 190 km/h. It includes a 540-degree surround-view camera, seven driving modes, L2+ intelligent driving with 14 ADAS functions, a 6 kW power outlet, and energy costs as low as 0.8–1 baht per kilometer.

Having products covering commercial to lifestyle uses means GEELY RIDDARA no longer views competition only within electric pickups but is setting a new standard for modern pickups by combining pickup utility with advanced driving technology.

They also deliver products that provide pickup functionality with SUV-like comfort, enabling one vehicle to fulfill diverse roles perfectly suited to consumers’ varied lifestyles.

Moving forward, GEELY RIDDARA THAILAND plans to continuously raise awareness and build shared experiences with consumers to foster confidence, promoting wider adoption of new energy pickups among users nationwide.

Target groups include organizations from government and private sectors, individuals, entrepreneurs, and SMEs. Their key goal is not only to lead the new energy pickup market but to make new energy technology a lasting part of the evolution of Thailand’s pickup market.
