GWM has launched a battery warranty extension package for the GWM ORA5 EV lasting up to 10 years or 220,000 kilometers.
Wayne Zhou, Managing Director of GWM (Thailand), said that GWM has always prioritized sincere and transparent customer care, believing that the best warranty is one without hidden conditions and is fully verifiable. The duration of 10 years or 220,000 kilometers reflects this commitment.
This duration is reasonable and aligns with actual customer usage. Moreover, the coverage can be transferred to a new owner, helping preserve the vehicle's long-term value. GWM is committed to ensuring ORA5 EV customers can drive with confidence, knowing their vehicle will be properly maintained, safe, and performing optimally throughout its use. Our care does not end on the day the car is delivered.
The battery and vehicle warranty extension packages for the GWM ORA5 EV electric car are detailed as follows.
Battery warranty extension package for 10 years or 220,000 kilometers.
Customers gain extended battery warranty covering three key components: the high-voltage battery, drive motor, and motor control unit. This extends the original coverage from 8 years or 180,000 kilometers to a maximum of 10 years or 220,000 kilometers (whichever occurs first), priced at 6,500 baht including VAT.
Vehicle quality warranty extension package for 8 years or 200,000 kilometers.
Customers receive extended vehicle quality warranty covering eight major systems: cooling system, front and rear axles, braking system, electrical system, steering system, safety system, air conditioning, and charging system. The coverage is extended from the original 5 years or 150,000 kilometers to 8 years or 200,000 kilometers (whichever occurs first), priced at 10,000 baht including VAT. This package excludes the high-voltage battery, drive motor, and motor control unit, as those are covered under the battery warranty extension package.
The coverage in these packages is tied to the vehicle and can be transferred to a new owner. There is no annual mileage limit, but customers must adhere to scheduled maintenance at authorized GWM service centers using genuine parts only.
Eligibility and conditions for participation: The vehicle must be a privately used GWM ORA5 EV within Thailand, no older than 1 year or with accumulated mileage not exceeding 15,000 kilometers (whichever occurs first) from the delivery date.
The vehicle must not have undergone unauthorized electrical or drivetrain modifications and must have no history of severe accidents, flooding, or fire damage.
Maintenance history must be complete according to the schedule, and only genuine parts used at officially authorized GWM service centers.
Coverage exclusions include normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse, and neglect of scheduled maintenance as specified by the company.
