LEPAS unveiled the AURA concept car, the world's first of its kind in China, featuring a design inspired by the leopard, with customizable lighting and graphics to match user style. The distinctive front and lighting design will be applied to future brand models as well.
On 22 Oct 2026 GMT+7, LEPAS introduced the AURA concept car for the first time worldwide during the Global Elegance Night, part of the inaugural LEPAS Global Elegant Lifestyle Week held in Wuhu, People's Republic of China, showcasing the brand's new vehicle design direction.
AURA was developed under the philosophy of Natural Energy, blending Leopard Aesthetics—drawing inspiration from the leopard—with Future-Inspired Design. It focuses on vehicle proportions, smooth curved surfaces, lighting systems, and customizable display options tailored to user preferences.
Ivan Dulanović, LEPAS's chief designer, stated that elegance arises not from decoration but from calm confidence. He defined three key attributes for AURA: elegance, confidence, and intriguing mystery, expressed through the car's proportions, surfaces, and details.
The design team studied the leopard's weight distribution and muscle tension during rest, stalking, and sprinting, then translated these into a car with a long wheelbase, short front and rear overhangs, and wide track to create a solid and assertive stance.
The vehicle's shoulder line is sharply defined to convey the leopard's muscular strength, combined with smooth surfaces and headlights inspired by the animal's eyes.
Additionally, AURA continues the Porcelain-inspired Design approach, drawing from glazed ceramic aesthetics through the body shape and glossy surfaces that accentuate lines, along with Integrated Air Channels following the body curves to guide airflow efficiently.
New Identity Set to Shape Future LEPAS Models
The front of AURA features a redesigned smooth grille and side air intakes merged into a continuous black surface, complemented by the brand's signature Leopard headlights.
Dulanović explained that this front design and lighting signature will be used in upcoming LEPAS vehicles to unify the brand’s design language. The concept also introduces customizable graphics, lighting, and animations on the front display to reflect user style and mood, while the oval rear screen allows tailored taillight displays. This approach blends LEPAS's core shapes with dynamic lighting and graphics to enhance personal expression through the car.
AURA offers three body color shades inspired by natural landscapes at different times of day:
- Dawn Pearl, inspired by the dawn in Tahiti, captures the first light with soft pink tones.
- Bacalar Blue, inspired by the midday waters of Lake Bacalar, transitions between deep blue and turquoise.
- Provence Twilight, inspired by lavender fields at sunset, features bluish-purple hues.
The design elements of AURA—including proportions, surfaces, lighting, and colors—will guide development of the next-generation LEPAS cars under the Drive Your Elegance concept, offering users greater opportunities to express personal taste through their vehicles.
