Ofero is advancing its long-term business in Thailand by assembling motorcycles domestically at a BOI-promoted factory. It is expanding after-sales service centers from more than 50 to 100 locations and aims to have over 2,000 retail points by 2027.
Ofero, an electric motorcycle brand, revealed its long-term business plan in Thailand after selling more than 5,000 units in the first six months since entering the market. The company is investing comprehensively in assembly, sales, service, spare parts, and brand building to meet demand for affordable electric vehicles.
Currently, the company assembles electric motorcycles in Thailand at a factory promoted by the Board of Investment (BOI). It has established a network of more than 150 dealers nationwide providing product information, sales support, and connecting customers to maintenance services.
It aims to expand to over 2,000 sales points by 2027.
For its next phase, Ofero plans continuous investment in brand building and marketing activities, targeting over 2,000 retail outlets by 2027. These will include mobile phone shops and electronics stores to enhance consumer access across various areas.
The company said this strategy leverages the core team’s experience in mobile phone retail, including product introduction into stores, collaboration with dealers, and expanding sales networks to reach a broad customer base.
Regarding its international business, Ofero currently offers products in 13 countries with an annual production capacity of about 500,000 units. It applies its product and manufacturing expertise to its operations in Thailand.
Expanding service points to 100 to support after-sales customers.
Currently, Ofero has more than 50 service centers in Thailand and plans to increase to 100 centers to provide customers easier access to inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
The company said common issues can be diagnosed and fixed at service centers, with minor repairs taking no more than two hours. Common spare parts are delivered within 24 hours, while special orders arrive within two days to minimize customer wait times.
Additionally, the company offers roadside assistance called Road Rescue, promising help within 30 minutes in urban areas and within one hour in remote areas. It also provides free inspection and cleaning services within three months from the purchase date.
If customers experience issues after purchase, they can report symptoms through the store where they bought the motorcycle, most of which have repair technicians. If the issue is under warranty, the company will send the necessary parts.
Highlights removable lithium batteries with a 2-year warranty.
Ofero’s products target daily travel users, including students, homemakers, seniors, factory workers, and general users. The electric motorcycles feature lightweight lithium batteries that can be detached and charged at home.
The batteries are designed to last up to five years depending on model and usage conditions. Lithium batteries and motors come with a two-year warranty, and controllers have a one-year warranty from the purchase date at the store, under company conditions. The frame is designed to last up to 10 years depending on model and usage.
Ofero views sales of over 5,000 units in the first six months as the start of its business in Thailand. The company plans to continue investing in retail networks, after-sales services, and brand building to support long-term growth.
