TOAVH invites participation in the charity run TOAVH RUN X Homes of Hornbills to raise funds for building artificial nests for hornbills as part of the Homes for Hornbills project.
Mr. Nattawut Tangkarawakun, chairman of the TOAVH group of companies, stated that with a policy emphasizing sustainable business development alongside environmental care, TOAVH is organizing the charity run called TOAVH RUN X Homes for Hornbills on Sunday, 15 March 2026, at Suan Luang Rama IX – Bueng Nong Bon.
This event supports the construction of artificial nests for hornbills under the Homes for Hornbills project, contributing to the restoration of Thailand’s forest ecosystems while encouraging the public to exercise and improve health.
"This event is held in cooperation with the Hornbill Research Foundation and the natural materials innovation research team from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Silpakorn University. It marks a starting point for sustainable hornbill conservation and the restoration of Thailand’s forests to their former richness," he said.
Researcher Siriwan Nakkhuntod from the Hornbill Research Foundation explained that hornbills are forest planters that disperse seeds and maintain ecological balance. Currently, hornbills face a shortage of nesting cavities due to forest area reduction, affecting reproduction and risking extinction. Therefore, collaboration with Janin Tangkarawakun, founder of Homes for Hornbills, aims to sustainably build artificial nests to help hornbills survive alongside Thailand’s forests.
This run reflects a holistic health concept: physical health through running; mental health from time spent in green spaces and contributing to nest-building for hornbills; and environmental health by wearing shirts made from recycled plastic (PET) bottles for a better world.
TOAVH invites the public, runners, and nature lovers to join in conserving hornbills and restoring Thailand’s forests by registering for the charity run TOAVH RUN X Homes for Hornbills on Sunday, 15 March 2026, at Suan Luang Rama IX – Bueng Nong Bon via online channels.https://race.thai.run/toavhrun2026Registration is open from today onward.
