Spotlight on the Powerful BMW M4 CS Booth at Bangkok International Motor Show

The 2025 facelifted M4 CS LCI model positions itself as an M Car that sits between the M4 Competition and the limited 3.0 CSL released in 2022, which is priced higher than supercars. BMW emphasizes the connection between the M4 CS and an intense driving experience that "captures the sporting spirit," explaining that the CS badge stands for Club Sport, distinguishing it clearly from the M4 Competition.

The BMW M4 CS is a CBU import priced at 14,999,000 baht, powered by a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine, code S58, delivering 543 horsepower—the same as the M3 CS. It features the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, unlike the rear-wheel-drive setup of the M4 CSL. Strict weight reduction measures are prioritized. The exterior of the 2025 BMW M4 CS LCI also reflects the rarity and premium nature of the M4 CSL. So, what differentiates the CS from the Competition and even the CSL?

The BMW M4 CS LCI features carbon fiber components including the roof, hood, front splitter, front air intakes, mirror caps, rear diffuser, and spoiler. It has forged M alloy wheels compatible with track tires or "ultra-track" tires, offered as a no-cost option. Compared to the CSL, the CS has fixed carbon bucket seats and a conventional trunk lid, not carbon fiber like the CSL. The M4 CS uses M Carbon seats. Through weight-saving measures, the BMW M4 CS is 20 kilograms lighter than the M4 Competition Coupe xDrive, whereas the M4 CSL sheds up to 108 kilograms.

The S58 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine produces 543 horsepower (550 PS / 405 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, an increase of 20 horsepower (20 PS / 15 kW) compared to the 2025 BMW M4 Competition Coupe LCI. Essentially, the M4 CS LCI 2025 engine is based on the M4 Competition's but tuned for higher power. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 302 km/h. The new exhaust system changes tone according to drive modes; in Sport or Sport+ modes, valves open fully to unleash the soundtrack of the inline 6-cylinder through a dual exhaust system with a titanium rear muffler.

The M xDrive four-wheel-drive system can disconnect power to the front wheels, effectively allowing 100% rear-wheel drive for drifting fun. Power is transmitted through a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. Gearshift settings offer three response modes from Comfort to Track. Engine mounts are reinforced to strengthen the connection between the engine and chassis. The M4 CS chassis is specially tuned, including electronic magic, Adaptive M suspension with CS-specific settings, M Servotronic electric power steering with variable ratio, and physical parameters adjusted with CS-specific camber angles combined with shock absorber, spring, and anti-roll bar tuning.

The M4 CS is available in four colors including Brooklyn Grey Metallic and Black Sapphire Metallic. Optional BMW Individual colors include Riviera Blue and Frozen Isle of Man Green Metallic. Unpainted CFRP parts, including the roof, combined with side skirts, front splitter, and black exhaust tips, create a striking two-tone aggressive exterior look. Carbon fiber patterns and vivid body colors complement the look. Wheels can be chosen in matte black or matte bronze for contrast.

Inside, the BMW curved display features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen centered on the dashboard, matching other 2025 BMW models. The M4 CS LCI 2025 runs BMW OS 8.5 with M-specific graphics. Notably, OS 8.5 reduces physical buttons almost entirely, consolidating functions into the touchscreen.

The M4 CS LCI 2025 also includes a drift analysis program, lap timer, and M buttons on the steering wheel to store personalized settings, including the 8-speed transmission response. The cabin features “CS” lettering, M three-color stitched seatbelts, carbon fiber interior trim, anthracite headliner, M Carbon seats upholstered in black/red Merino leather with contrasting stitching, electrically adjustable seats with heating, and an illuminated M4 CS logo on the headrests.

The M4 CS is produced at BMW’s Dingolfing plant, with production starting in July 2024.

The BMW M4 CS has a starting price of $123,500, which converts to approximately 4,566,000 baht before a 300%++ luxury car import tax. When imported into Thailand, the full luxury car import tax is applied, pushing the price to 14,999,000 baht.
