
Toyota revealed strong growth in the first quarter of 2026, achieving sales exceeding 62,196 units and capturing a 34.16% market share, driven by pickups and eco-cars. The company also showcased success from the 2026 Motor Show with over 28,000 bookings and is confident of meeting April sales targets despite seasonal slowdown.
On 29 April 2026, Mr. Supakorn Rattanaworaha, Deputy Managing Director of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., said that the overall car market in April 2026 is expected to decline compared to the previous month, in line with the usual seasonal index which typically slows during this period.
However, Toyota continues to earn customer trust, resulting in total bookings nationwide during the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show, or Motor Show 2026, reaching as high as 28,580 units.
All Toyota models are ready to be delivered to customers immediately, except for the TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ, which will begin delivery from May 2026 onward. Therefore, Toyota expects April sales to remain on target.
Mr. Supakorn added that in the first three months of 2026, TOYOTA achieved cumulative sales of 62,196 units, accounting for a 34.16% market share, representing a 7.82% growth compared to the same period last year.
The most popular vehicles are in the Pure Pick Up segment, including the TOYOTA Hilux Travo, TOYOTA Revo, and TOYOTA Champ, with cumulative sales of 19,630 units.
Following that is the Eco segment, including the TOYOTA Yaris and TOYOTA Yaris ATIV, which have cumulative sales of 19,174 units. .
Industry-wide cumulative car sales in the first three months reached 182,083 units, an 18.86% increase compared to the same period last year. Passenger cars and SUVs recorded sales of 123,445 units, up 28.69% from the previous year.
Pickup trucks posted cumulative sales of 38,493 units, down 4.67% from last year. Battery electric vehicle (BEV) pickup sales totaled 314 units, a 227.08% increase year-on-year, while PPV sales reached 12,127 units, up 27.18% from the previous year.
