PORSCHE 911 GT3 F.A.: A Collectors Sports Car

Celebrating the 90th birthday of Ferdinand Alexander (F. A.) Porsche with the creation of a classic four-wheeled gift—the 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche—to honor the brand's founder on this significant occasion.

The exterior and interior design of the special 911 GT3 edition is a personalized tribute, drawing inspiration from the Porsche 911 G-Series that Ferdinand Alexander Porsche drove in the 1980s. Limited to only 90 units worldwide, the GT3 F.A. incorporates Heritage Design elements crafted through the Sonderwunsch (special request) program. Mark Porsche, son of Ferdinand Alexander (F. A.) Porsche, personally owns one of these special cars. Owners of the Porsche 911 GT3 FA will enjoy a personalized experience, able to customize their special model uniquely. Reservations open from April 2026 onward. The package also includes a special Porsche Design Chronograph 1 watch and matching luggage.

“When function takes priority, form emerges naturally” was the design philosophy of Ferdinand Alexander (F. A.) Porsche. He applied the concept of reducing elements to only what is necessary in the legendary Porsche 911. In 1972, together with his brother Hans-Peter, he founded the design studio Porsche Design. The studio's work quickly gained recognition as icons of modern design, including chronograph wristwatches and the P’8478 sunglasses featuring interchangeable lenses. Ferdinand Alexander (F. A.) Porsche will turn 90 on 11 Dec 2025 GMT+7.

To commemorate this milestone, experts from the Sonderwunsch program collaborated with Mark Porsche, the youngest son, to create the limited-run 911 GT3 F.A., restricted to 90 units. Mark Porsche is one of the owners, with 89 others available worldwide. Mark Porsche said, “I'm confident my father would have loved this special 911. We infused every detail with his personal tastes, such as the F. A. Green metallic color developed exclusively for this model, evoking the Oak green metallic of the 911 he once drove, and the F. A. Grid-Weave fabric pattern on the seat centers inspired by his favorite jacket.”

Porsche will open orders for the 911 GT3 F.A. in April 2026, with a starting price of €351,211 (approximately 12,901,000 baht excluding import tax). The 911 GT3 F.A. comes with a special Porsche Design Chronograph 1 watch and coordinated luggage as standard. Production of this special 911 will begin in the second half of 2026 after customers finalize their personal customization. This collectible model is based on the 911 GT3 Touring Package, emphasizing understated luxury and refined character. It features an adjustable rear spoiler, a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six boxer engine producing 375 kW (510 hp) and 450 Nm of torque.

The green color inspiration of the 911 GT3 F.A. is realized through the Paint to Sample Plus program.
The F. A. Green metallic color is exclusive to this special edition. Experts from the Paint to Sample Plus program developed this shade in collaboration with the Porsche family, inspired by the iconic Oak green metallic of the 911 Ferdinand Alexander Porsche once drove. Starting in 2026, every car choosing colors from the Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus programs will feature a special badge mounted on the A-pillar. This special edition is the first to wear this badge.

Another exterior design highlight absent from the standard 911 GT3 Touring is the matte black Sport Classic wheels. These wheels are inspired by the classic Fuchs design and feature central locking and the 1963 Porsche crest on the hub caps. The front hood grille bears the gold-plated '90 F. A. Porsche' emblem, inspired by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche’s jacket and the special fabric pattern on the seats. The seats themselves are adorned with Chalk Beige stitching combined with the F. A. Grid-Weave fabric on the center panels, enhancing the beauty of the brown Truffle Club Leather upholstery. This creates a distinctive atmosphere honoring Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. The F. A. Grid-Weave pattern is also used on various interior details such as the storage box, document folder, and reversible cargo compartment mat, woven from five thread colors: black, green, brown Truffle, cream, and Bordeaux red.

Mark Porsche said, “My father's favorite jacket had this pattern, along with his pencils, pipe, and ashtray—elements deeply tied to my childhood memories and clearly connected to his home office.” The Sport Chrono stopwatch on the dashboard is inspired by the original Chronograph 1 watch Ferdinand Alexander Porsche specially commissioned. The gearshift knob is walnut wood preserving its natural grain, complemented by a metal plate engraved with Ferdinand Alexander Porsche’s signature, adding uniqueness and value to the cabin. The dashboard trim features a gold-plated metal plate engraved with his signature, an image of the original Porsche 911, and the phrase ‘One of 90,’ underscoring the 911 GT3 F.A.'s status as a valuable limited collector’s model. Additionally, the center console storage compartment is embossed with the same emblem found on the front trunk grille.

Special Porsche Design Chronograph 1 watch.
Owners of this special model receive a limited Porsche Design Chronograph 1 watch. The watch hands and hour markers use special Super-LumiNova® luminescent material, giving a vintage radium or tritium glow effect. It features the original Porsche Design logo on the clasp and crown. The day-date display at 3 o’clock shows the initials F. A. Porsche instead of the Porsche Design logo, mirroring Ferdinand Alexander Porsche’s personal chronograph, now passed down to his descendants. The automatic movement’s rotor is designed to match the shape and color of the car’s wheels. A limited edition number (XX/90) and F. A. Porsche’s signature are laser-engraved on the case back. The lightweight, durable, hypoallergenic titanium case is coated in black, similar to the original 1972 model.

Besides the black-coated titanium bracelet, users can opt for an additional leather strap that complements the car's interior materials and stitching colors. The quick-change system allows strap swaps without tools. Like all Porsche Design watches, this model is COSC-certified for exceptional accuracy and is hand-assembled at Porsche’s watch factory in Grenchen, Switzerland.

This special edition is based on the limited 1972 Chronograph 1 – 1972 model Porsche Design launched in 2022 to celebrate its 50th anniversary. It replicates the original in every detail, enhanced with modern technology. The project began when Porsche Design received its first order from Porsche AG to produce watches for outstanding employees and special celebrations, initially just 20 units. The design draws inspiration from the 911 dashboard, offering clear readability even in extreme conditions. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche translated both appearance and function into the watch, featuring a matte black dial, white luminescent hour markers and hands, and a striking red chronograph seconds hand. The Chronograph 1 became the world’s first black wristwatch and symbolizes Dr. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche’s design philosophy.

Weekender bag matching the car’s style.
In addition to the Chronograph 1 watch, the 911 GT3 F.A. Porsche includes a specially designed luggage piece that matches the car’s details. This special edition bag uses the same materials and color tones as the car's interior. Made from brown Truffle leather identical to the cabin upholstery, it features Chalk Beige decorative stitching. The front pocket lining uses the F. A. Grid-Weave fabric matching the seat center panels, while the main compartment is lined with high-quality microfiber. The special luggage also bears an anniversary emblem embroidered on the outer pocket, designed to coordinate with the emblem on the car’s front grille.

The return of a legendary sports snow sled.
To celebrate the anniversary, Porsche has revived another legendary design by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche: the curved sports snow sled Porsche Junior, originally introduced in the 1960s for younger fans. Family album photos show Ferdinand Alexander Porsche and his children fondly enjoyed this sled. The new version uses carbon fiber, proven in motorsports and automotive engineering, making it exceptionally lightweight. A Kevlar frame enhances strength and stability. Like the car, only 90 units will be produced, featuring the special F. A. Green metallic color. The sled’s seat is upholstered in the same F. A. Grid-Weave fabric as the 911 GT3 F.A.
