It features an extended body length, a longer wheelbase, and increased ground clearance, resulting in more interior space and good visibility, while retaining the unique charm of ORA. This model targets the highly competitive C-segmentSUV market.
The electric version is equipped with a 58.3 kWh LFP Short-Blade battery supporting AC charging at 6.6 kW and DC fast charging up to 120 kW (30%-80% in 20 minutes). The peak charge curve has been extended to enable faster charging, along with a 6.6 kW V2L function. It pairs with a 204 hp front motor producing 260 Nm torque. The claimed NEDC range is 520 km, while real-world tests yielded 450 km. Weight distribution is balanced at 50:50. From our tests, we preferred the driving feel, weight distribution, and suspension response of this EV model over the HEV. DC fast charging (30-80%) takes only 20 minutes.
The hybrid model features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine combined with a hybrid system and a 2-speed DHT-i transmission, delivering a combined output of 223 hp and 476 Nm torque. It achieves fuel economy of 23.26 km/l and can exceed 1,000 km range from a 55-liter fuel tank. Our test showed an onboard computer reading up to 1,200 km range. Of course, actual range varies by driving style, but this is very economical, ideal for long-distance drivers.
Both versions have updated suspension: front MacPherson strut and rear multi-link.New shock absorbersand springs are tuned to match each powertrain. The electric power steering (EPS) is designed to be light for female drivers but can be adjusted to three levels of stiffness via the central touchscreen.
Overall, the car looks cute but its character is not as gentle as its appearance suggests. It is powerful, fun to drive, and packed with new technologies unique to GWM.
