The Pathum Thani Provincial Court has ordered that temporary release be denied. 'L' due to domestic violence concerns and fear of witness tampering.
On 19 Feb 2026, reporters stated that police from Lat Lum Kaeo Police Station were urgently pursuing Mr. Nopparat, or L Jinto, aged 30, who was in possession of a firearm. This led to the closure of 17 schools in the district on 18 Feb. He assaulted his wife and fired a gun at a highway rescue vehicle in Huay Yai Police Station area, Chonburi Province. After a warrant was issued, he fled to Rahaeng Subdistrict, Lat Lum Kaeo District, Pathum Thani Province, where he lives. He forced his father-in-law at gunpoint into a pickup truck to demand his wife meet him, driven by anger that she had filed a complaint against him.
Subsequently, the investigators at Lat Lum Kaeo Police Station filed Petition No. F.51/2569 with the Pathum Thani Provincial Court requesting the first detention of Mr. Nopparat, suspect in unauthorized possession of firearms and ammunition, carrying firearms in public without permission and without justifiable cause, coercion to compel or restrain someone through threats with a weapon, unlawful detention or confinement, and nighttime home intrusion using force or threats with weapons.
The Pathum Thani Provincial Court approved the first detention for 12 days from 19 Feb to 2 Mar 2026. The suspect filed a bail request during this detention stage. After consideration, the court ruled to deny bail due to the suspect’s actions causing widespread impact, including domestic violence. The victims and investigators opposed bail, fearing that release could lead to witness tampering or further dangerous acts.
