The Royal Thai Police Commissioner confirmed he has never approached or considered transferring Police General Nirandorn Lueamsri, the most senior Deputy Commissioner, but hopes all police officers will cooperate in fulfilling their duties.
On 29 July 2026, reports stated that Police General Nirandorn Lueamsri, the most senior Deputy Commissioner, sent an urgent letter to the Police Commissioner via the Personnel Office, affirming he does not willingly consent to a transfer to another agency. He cited Section 93 of the National Police Act B.E. 2565 (2022), which requires transfers to be voluntary. He emphasized that over 37 years in the khaki uniform, gaining experience in investigation, crime prevention and suppression, and administration, he believes continuing service within the Royal Thai Police will best serve the government during his remaining tenure.
Recently, Police General Kittirat Phanphet, the Police Commissioner, said he had not received the letter reported in the news. He confirmed he never approached or discussed transferring Police General Nirandorn or proposed a transfer to another unit. He added that Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has also never discussed this matter with him. He noted that conversations have only involved all Deputy Commissioners and the National Police Council about fostering unity to perform assigned duties aligned with government policies, for the nation and the peace and welfare of the citizens.
Regarding the nomination of the Police Commissioner, the Prime Minister submitted the candidate, and the meeting unanimously approved it, followed by a royal decree published in the Royal Gazette. Moving forward, he believes the organization should foster unity. He wants to see all police officers promptly cooperate in fulfilling their assigned duties, benefiting the public. This will lead to national peace, reduced crime, improved quality of life for police officers, and restored public trust, giving the organization an honorable image as a reliable protector and supporter of the people, worthy of its role as guardians of public peace.
He emphasized that police officers at all levels must diligently work for the institution, nation, religion, and the people, justifying their salaries regardless of rank or position. They should perform their duties accordingly and cooperate to achieve effective results, promoting peace and welfare for the public rather than focusing on positions.
