Following the tragic shooting by a Grade 9 student inside Thepsirin School in Nonthaburi, which resulted in eight deaths and numerous injuries, a severely injured victim later died, bringing the death toll to nine, as previously reported.
Most recently, at 3:00 p.m. on 9 Aug 2026 GMT+7, the father of the 12-year-old girl, a Grade 7 student and victim of the Thepsirin School shooting in Nonthaburi, said he no longer thinks about the event because it has passed. Now, he is focused on taking good care of his daughter. Everything else happened as it did, and many people and agencies are probably providing care. Regarding the incident, it is what it is, and he does not blame anyone. The person who did it might have faced issues we don’t know about. It’s okay; he wishes for his daughter to be happy.
He believes the school has managed well to some extent, but no one could have predicted the event. We should not blame anyone; instead, we should work together to resolve such problems in the future. He said the school is not at fault, nor is anyone else. He believes multiple agencies are involved in prevention efforts going forward, so there is no need to blame anyone.
