Shock as Japanese Man Jumps from TV Asahi Headquarters, Dies Another Injured Below

A young man in Japan jumped from the TV Asahi headquarters building and died at the scene, while another man was injured after being struck by the falling man.

Japan's Japan Today news agency reported that a young man jumped from the TV Asahi headquarters building in the Roppongi Hills district of Tokyo on Wednesday, 10 Dec 2025 GMT+7, resulting in his death. He landed on a man walking below, who was also injured.

Japanese police stated the incident occurred at about 18:50 local time on Wednesday. Security personnel called 110 (Japan's emergency number) to report a person had fallen from the TV Asahi building onto Keyakizaka-dori street.

The man who jumped, aged approximately 20 to 30, was declared dead at the scene. It is believed he fell from the 7th floor of the TV Asahi building. The man struck suffered minor injuries to his head and shoulder.

Police also indicated that the deceased was an employee of a production company associated with TV Asahi and held an authorized staff access card for the headquarters building.
