Democratic members of Congress have released 19 new photos from the estate of Jeffrey Epstein, the late billionaire sex trafficker, including images of U.S. President Donald Trump, Prince Andrew, and former President Bill Clinton.
The U.S. House Oversight Committee Democrats unveiled an initial set of 19 photos, followed by nearly 80 more on the same day, stating these images are part of an archive exceeding 95,000 photos obtained from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate after a subpoena for documents was issued.
The released images include previously unseen personal photos, pictures from Epstein’s private island, and photos showing him with globally renowned figures, including the current U.S. President Donald Trump.
The photo release comes as the U.S. Department of Justice faces a December 19 deadline to disclose all documents related to the Epstein case, under a law passed by Congress and signed by Trump last month, following strong pressure from the MAGA (Make America Great Again) base.
Although the Department of Justice process is separate from the congressional investigation, Democrats assert they will continue to gradually release photos from Epstein’s estate to ensure transparency.
The new photos reveal personal details about Epstein, such as him sitting in a bathtub and images resembling sex toys. They also include photos of Epstein with numerous influential figures, such as Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Steve Bannon (former Trump advisor), and Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted in 2021 for her role assisting Epstein.
The committee stated that these photos lack captions, so it is not possible to confirm when, where, or why they were taken, emphasizing that appearing in photos connected to Epstein does not imply wrongdoing by those individuals.
Nevertheless, Epstein’s connections to many elites, along with his death in a Manhattan jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, continue to fuel conspiracy theories and government cover-up allegations spreading online.
Representative Robert Garcia, a Democrat and a leading member of the committee, said it is time to end the White House’s secrecy and bring justice to the victims, urging the Department of Justice to release all documents promptly.
Republicans, who hold the majority on the committee, countered that Democrats are selectively choosing photos and withholding information to create a misleading narrative about President Trump. The White House called the release a Democratic political stunt that has been debunked multiple times.
Trump appears in at least three of the released photos, including one from a 1997 Victoria’s Secret party previously made public. Trump acknowledged knowing Epstein during the 1990s but insisted they ended contact in the early 2000s and that he has never been accused in any related cases.
In a Friday interview, Trump said many celebrities knew and were photographed with Epstein and viewed the photo release as not a big deal.
