FBI Offers $50,000 Reward in Hunt for Brown University Shooting Suspect Still at Large

Police and the FBI are racing to capture the gunman who opened fire inside Brown University and remains at large. They have released new video footage of the suspect and announced a $50,000 reward, hoping to obtain key information to track him down.

The FBI has announced a maximum reward of $50,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect responsible for the shocking Brown University shooting. Meanwhile, Providence police released the latest video showing a person dressed entirely in black walking on a city street just minutes after the shooting, though the footage does not clearly reveal the individual's face.

Earlier, authorities released a man previously detained as a suspect after finding no connection to the case, forcing police to essentially restart their investigation from scratch.

The shooting occurred on Saturday during a busy period at the university. The gunman entered a classroom and fired more than 40 rounds, causing chaos and prompting the university to order an emergency lockdown. At the same time, numerous officers conducted searches for evidence around the campus area, including U.S. Marshals who went door-to-door asking residents about security cameras and urging anyone with footage or information near Brown University to contact authorities immediately.

The two victims who died were a second-year student serving as vice president of the Brown College Republicans and a first-year student whose family immigrated to the U.S. from Uzbekistan. Additionally, nine others were injured.
