Winners can choose a lump sum payout of about $735.3 million or annual installments totaling $1.6 billion, both before taxes.
The largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history was $2.04 billion in 2022, while the odds of winning the latest Powerball drawing stand at 1 in 292.2 million tickets.
