US Police Fire Rubber Bullets at Close Range, Hitting Protesters Face in Bloodied Incident (Video)

Protests over the case of an ICE officer shooting a Minneapolis woman to death have escalated. Recently, several federal prosecutors resigned, while video footage shows law enforcement firing rubber bullets at protesters at close range, striking a face and causing heavy bleeding.

Protests sparked by the death of a Minneapolis woman shot by ICE officers have intensified. Recently, multiple federal prosecutors resigned. Meanwhile, in California, video surfaced showing federal officers firing at a protester's face at close range, causing heavy bleeding, before dragging the protester by the neck into a building.

This incident occurred during protests in Santa Ana, Southern California, demanding justice for Renee Good, a middle-aged woman shot dead by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in Minneapolis.

Video from the scene shows federal officers shooting a projectile at close range, hitting a protester’s face. The man collapsed to the ground, his face covered in blood. A statement read by his friends later said he lost sight in one eye.

The clash also resulted in at least one arrest on charges of assaulting, obstructing, or disobeying federal officers. The US Department of Homeland Security reported two officers were injured in the incident.

Additionally, reports indicate that at several other protest locations, authorities used tear gas to suppress demonstrators.

Meanwhile, tensions have spread to the US Department of Justice after reports that at least six federal prosecutors in Minnesota resigned, possibly due to dissatisfaction over political interference in the investigation of Renee Good's death, following reports that the federal government excluded Minnesota from the investigative process.
