A major industrial crane accident occurred inside a factory in the city of Bugulma, located in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, on Sunday afternoon, according to local prosecutors. The crane broke in the middle and fell violently to the ground while operating within the facility. CCTV footage captured the moment when the crane’s structure suddenly and forcefully collapsed.
At the scene, officials found the 63-year-old woman who had been in the crane control cabin thrown from it and injured from the fall. Rescue personnel transported her to a local hospital for medical treatment. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the relevant agencies. Prosecutors stated they are examining the true cause, including the safety standards for operating such heavy equipment, to prevent similar incidents in the future. No clear announcement has yet been made about additional injuries resulting from the event.
