A major industrial crane accident occurred inside a factory in Bugulma, a city in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, on Sunday afternoon, according to local prosecutors. The crane broke in the middle and fell heavily to the ground while operating inside the facility. Surveillance footage showed the moment the crane structure suddenly and violently collapsed.
At the scene, officials found a 63-year-old woman who had been in the crane control cabin thrown down and injured from the fall. Rescue workers transported her to a local hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident is still under investigation by relevant agencies. Prosecutors said they are conducting checks to determine the true cause and to review safety standards for operating such heavy equipment, aiming to prevent similar incidents in the future. It has not yet been confirmed whether there were additional injuries from the incident.
