An unexpected incident occurred in the United States when a wild deer crashed through a bank window in broad daylight, then ran around causing chaos. Authorities had to mobilize forces to control the situation and took considerable time to safely remove the animal.
Surveillance footage captured the dramatic moment when a wild deer slammed into the bank's front glass, shattering it before leaping inside a bank building on Long Island, Suffolk County, New York, United States.
Once inside, the deer wandered around confusedly, trying to find an exit and damaging several items along the way.
Shortly after, the bank's alarm sounded, prompting Suffolk County police to investigate, only to discover the cause was not a criminal, but a fully grown buck trapped inside the building.
Body camera footage showed five officers carefully trying to herd the deer out, as it attempted to flee by jumping onto the counter while officers tried to prevent it from charging people or breaking more glass.
At one point, the deer rushed out of a room, forcing police to give chase. Eventually, officers succeeded in securing the deer with a rope and gradually led it out through the same window it had broken.
After leaving the bank, the deer ran across a snow-covered road and disappeared from the area, much to the relief of officers and onlookers. Police confirmed no one was injured during the incident.
