An unexpected incident occurred in the United States when a wild deer crashed through a bank window in broad daylight, causing chaos inside. Authorities mobilized extensively to control the situation and took a long time before safely removing the animal from the premises.
CCTV footage captured the tense moment when a wild deer charged into the bank’s glass front, shattering it before leaping inside a bank building on Long Island, Suffolk County, New York, USA.
Once inside, the deer wandered around in confusion, attempting to find an exit and causing damage to several items.
Shortly thereafter, the bank’s alarm sounded, prompting Suffolk County police to respond. They discovered that the cause was not a criminal, but a fully grown antlered deer trapped inside the building.
Bodycam footage showed five officers cautiously trying to herd the deer out of the area. The deer tried to flee by jumping onto the counter while officers worked to contain it and prevent further harm to people or property.
At one point, the deer bolted out of a room, forcing officers to give chase. Eventually, they succeeded in securing the deer with a rope and carefully guided it out through the same window it had broken.
After leaving the bank, the deer ran across a snow-covered street and disappeared from sight, much to the relief of officers and bystanders. Police confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.
