Fans Shocked by the Death of South Korean Actor Jung Eun-woo One Day After His Sad Post

Jung Eun-woo, a young South Korean actor who had been active for nearly two decades, has died at age 40. One day before his death, he posted about several famous deceased artists.

South Korea's The Chosun Daily, citing various media sources, reported that Jung Eun-woo, a 40-year-old actor with nearly 20 years in the industry, died on Wednesday, 11 Feb 2026 GMT+7. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Media reported that one day before his death, Jung Eun-woo posted photos of late artists Leslie Cheung and Amy Winehouse on Instagram with a Korean caption reading, “Miss you, envy, regret.”

According to reports, Jung Eun-woo's funeral is currently being held at the funeral hall of New Koryo Hospital, with a burial ceremony planned at Byeokje Sunghwa Cemetery on 13 Feb.

Jung Eun-woo had a career spanning nearly 20 years in entertainment. He began as an actor in 2006 with the series “Banollim 3” and later appeared in films such as “He Was Cool (Tutoring the Same Age 2)”, “Bad Couple”, and “Miss Chang.”

On television, Jung Eun-woo played roles in series including “Hit”, “Chuno”, “The Man Called God”, and “Bride of the Sun.”
