
The Japanese people joined in celebrating the 66th birthday anniversary of Emperor Naruhito, which occurs annually on February 23.
In Tokyo, the Japanese people gathered to celebrate Emperor Naruhito's birthday on February 23. The Imperial Palace was opened to the public, allowing them to offer blessings and sign to show loyalty and celebrate the Reiwa era, symbolizing peaceful prosperity.
Meanwhile, Emperor Naruhito, accompanied by Empress Masako and members of the Imperial family, appeared on the balcony of the Imperial Palace to greet and receive well-wishes from the public attending the celebration, following tradition. Additionally, exhibitions and cultural activities were held to honor the Emperor and showcase Japan's rich cultural heritage on this auspicious occasion.
The current Emperor's birthday is considered one of the most important national holidays. Nationwide, there is a joyful atmosphere with Japanese flags displayed prominently. Japanese embassies and consulates worldwide, including in Thailand, organized celebrations to mark the occasion and to strengthen ties between Japan and other countries.
