Social media circulated images of Love Riya, known to Thais as Wan Morna, a former famous online cream seller, looking so changed she was barely recognizable. The leaked photos show her pregnant, holding her belly, with a weary face, sitting in a wheelchair while detained in a Cambodian prison. She was arrested last August on charges of inciting division and undermining military morale.
Reports state that Cambodia's prison officials only became aware of her pregnancy about one week after she was detained. The pregnancy began before her arrest in August last year.
Recently, officials removed her from the cell to conduct a thorough medical examination and assess her pregnancy, but she has not been released.
Wan Morna, also known to Thais as Love Riya, became well known among Thais during the tense period between Thailand and Cambodia. She appeared dressed in a female military uniform with high-heeled boots while donating supplies and publicly criticized Thais, leading her videos to go viral and become memes mocked by many before her eventual arrest and imprisonment.
