On 25 February 2026 GMT+7, U.S. President Donald Trump delivered his annual State of the Union address for the first time in his second term, declaring, "Our nation is back — bigger, better, richer, and stronger than ever before," and affirmed that he has engineered a historic turnaround.
The U.S. leader stated he inherited economic problems and wars from the previous administration, but within one year, the Trump administration transformed the country like never before. He highlighted economic figures, claiming that core inflation dropped to its lowest level in over five years and the stock market set 53 new records since the election. He also claimed that the Trump administration attracted more than $18 trillion in investments during the first year.
However, he reiterated accusations that former President Joe Biden caused the worst inflation in U.S. history, despite historical data indicating inflation was previously much higher.
Additionally, Trump addressed security issues, stating that U.S. borders are secure, enemies are fearful, and the military and police are strong. He said these factors have restored respect for the United States.
The atmosphere in the chamber was tense, with supporters shouting "USA." Meanwhile, Democratic Representative Al Green from Texas protested and was escorted out of the chamber before Trump's speech began.
