
The Israeli Ambassador traveled to Nong Khai, Nong Bua Lamphu, and Udon Thani provinces to meet with the families of four Thai workers who were brutally killed in Israel by the Hamas terrorist group on 7 October 2023.
On 23 February 2026, Her Excellency Alona Fisher-Kamm, Israeli Ambassador to Thailand, accompanied by a delegation from the Israeli Embassy, traveled to Nong Khai, Nong Bua Lamphu, and Udon Thani provinces for two days to meet with the families of four Thai workers who were brutally killed in Israel by the Hamas terrorist attack on 7 October 2023.
On this occasion, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Senate, Mrs. Nawanun Netithanakul, and senior officials from the Senate Secretariat joined the trip. The Israeli Ambassador and the delegation received a warm welcome from provincial governors or deputy governors and officials from the provincial labor ministries in all areas visited.
In Nong Khai province, the Israeli Ambassador met with the family of Mr. Sutthisak Rintholuk, the last Thai hostage returned by the Hamas terrorist group. In Nong Bua Lamphu province, the Ambassador met with the family of Mr. Sonthaya Akkasri, and in Udon Thani province, with the families of Mr. Kraisorn Aranthit and Mr. Theerapong Klangsuwan.
This trip marked the first time the Israeli Ambassador personally met the families of the Thai victims, hearing their stories and memories of their loved ones. The Ambassador expressed his deepest condolences and offered encouragement to the families who remain in mourning after their loss.
Additionally, consular officers from the Israeli Embassy held follow-up discussions with the workers' families to ensure they receive regular financial assistance from the Israeli government. All rights and benefits are fully protected under the law, just as those of Israeli victims' families are.
During the trip, the Israeli Ambassador stated, "Thai workers play a very important role in Israel's agricultural sector. We deeply appreciate their dedication. Israelis consider Thai workers and their families as part of our extended family. Israel stands with them, sharing their pain and respectfully remembering this loss. The untimely deaths of Thai workers in the brutal attack on 7 October is a loss mourned by all Israelis, and those who passed will remain in our memories forever."
